It will shoot through cardboard boxes. I let me wife test it on me and it left a pretty nice welt even through my jeans.

i havent made one yet, but im guessing that you have to muzzle load the marshmallow. It would be easy to customize it to be a rear barrel loading system by extending the length of the barrel by 1 1/2 inch and cutting an inch long slot into the rear of the barrel (half the tube section). Then find a piece of pvc pipe that snugly slides over the barrel and covers the hole. Slide it back, load a mallow, slide into position and blow :) fast reloading...

@chuvak1 cool man look forward too seeing it. i recently made a crude "nail in sabot" gun with copper pipe and a air compressor.... used the loading system i was trying to describe (no idea what its actually called) and i could fire 5 rounds in about 20 secs. It was fecking powerful tho :)

@dav666777 you blow into the pipe which doesn't have a cap on it (not where the marshmallow comes out) but the other opening end. I guess it was just a mistake that he didn't mention how to fire it because once you make it yourself you sometimes forget to put impotant things in the video.

I don't know about the law in Canada. In the US, PVC is availible at any home improvement store and is almost as cheap as dirt. Google a plumbing supply store in your area and ask about it.
