The fact that the guy is doing that proves how much of a novice he is. Anyone above his level would not have to do that - if you need to double check the angle, take a glance at the ball - you shouldn't have to lay your cue all over the table - very very low quality player
Well the guy can play, hes not a complete novice. It seems like he - since he plays a pro - steps back to the basics to ensure he makes the shot.
But my point was mainly that IF he wants to use his cue he shouldnt chalk it bfore using it and dont rest the tip on the cloth and definatly not turn it around.
imo it is not acceptable what the player does at 1:27. Especially on a light cloth like that you can leave behind a marker, especially when you rest your cue tip and turn the cue around.

On top of that, he misses easy shots Mika would never miss all over the place - ah 9 ball - the game that favors the lucky
