Thanks for sharing. Scotty has always been somethiig of a hero to me eversince 1979 when I found his name on one of Gene Vincent´s 1970 albums. (Scotty wrote one of the songs.)
@rockake You're right , Scotty wrote "I Need Woman's Love" on Gene's self - titled LP , from '69 or '70 , with The Sir Douglas Quintet (Minus Doug Sahm) backing him. Scotty was actually one of Gene's Blue Caps , as well. He went under the professional name of Max Lipscomb , in honor of Texas Bluesman Mance Lipscomb. Scotty is long overdue for a career retrospective compilation , including , of course , this great rocker !
I believe Scotty McKay is a product of Rockwall Texas. I remember listening to his music in the late 50s & early 60s.
