"You guys, my job is SO easy, I get to work at noon and wear whatever I want" - Mindy Kaling, writer on the office, at the Office convention on nbc(dot)com
Ask these greedy assholes how easy the jobs of the 80% of the staff that made 20k a year and got laid off were, cos they lost their jobs and stability so these writers could make an average of 250k a year

What about nurses? They dont make half what they're worth and they can't strike. Cheapskates? You have the fuckin nerve to call people who make a third of the average writer a cheapskate? This is why you should all starve and see what its like. And by the way "writer" Cheap isn't spelled "Cheep"
if the writers aren't happy they should just get other jobs. maybe they could go into producing or directing or something. i'm sure there's lots that very talented very wealthy people could find to do.

As a member of SAG I support your strike fully. As an actor and perfomer I have total respect for writers...you make us all look good. SAG is having the same issues over Internet pay, etal. We may have to strike as well, soon.
All of you get more money than most Americans AS IT IS, stop being greedy bastards. The networks should fire all of you, and get rid of unions. Be thankful
I don't know if anyone heard it, but Ray Romano had a great observation about Schwarzenegger's line "I'll Be Back." It's his trademark now, but a WGA writer wrote it for him! (At least I think that's what Ray said, with the traffic noise I can't be 100% certain and I'm sure that's not verbatim.)
Union thugs simply can't understand why America no longer supports them.
The Writers Guild is hurting the union cause with ridiculous demands, pathetic tactics (Jesse Jackson???), and threats to non-guild members (Ellen) that will weaken all unions public relations attempts for some time to come.
Millions of people are capable of turning out the same sub-par work, so stop parking your Mercedes near the picket line and get back to work. Or don't...no one really cares.
Ridiculous Demands? Why shouldn't a writer get paid for work that studios continue to make money on their work for?
Most Hollywood writers do not drive Mercedes and whether or not you think that writing is hard work, they work long hours. A writing career is a precarious one!
Romano and Garrett are the best! Really funny guys.

Sure the strike sucks, but the other side won't even negotiate.

But producing and directing aren't what they enjoy doing. They're trying to have a job they enjoy and also that they can make a living off of.

It's good to see actors looking natural without makeup and still looking proud.
And go writers!

Yeah, but such are the wonders of ambient sound. It's good to hear all the honking of supporters driving by.

It's great that people driving by honk to support the writers, but it sure makes the audio in the interviews hard to hear.
