As Victor gave in more and more to his inner animal , his eyes turned black ( such secondary mutations ARE NOT uncommon in The Comics ) , dyed his hair blond and grew it out along with his beard to more closely resemble The Animal from which his Codename is derived and lost much of his memories and sentience though retaining his sadism and bloodlust !

Well think about it. They have extremely similar powers. They're about the same age which is like over 100 years old. It gives great a great twist for them becoming enemies etc.

And the Movies don't follow the Comics very much. The Comics have so many versions of how the characters got to where they are now.

Actually they are almost 200 years old and were sworn enemies the first time they met, under the power of Romulus, them being his assassins. Sabretooth hated Logan because Wolverine was "the best at what I do." I find it sad that people write such great material and then someone else comes along and says, no that won't work, let's twist it on its head.

Sure he embraces it and shit but he can't control himself.

Victor Creed is a man who gave into the temptation of his animal when he was young in order to survive. Logan never had to do that so he had a better chance of control. As far as Victor is concerned he'll never be in control so he just deals with that fact and uses it to his advantage.

I'm not saying he couldn't be in control he just thinks he couldn't. He's convinced himself that he cant
