  • Christianity is a way of life, by the way. Not a religion.

  • I am starting to think WBC might be right on some points like america is doomed and how they are splitting the gates of hell wide open. I dont agree with their protests and hate for homosexuals, but I can kinda see their message.

  • Christians need to learn their basic American History.

  • conservative777? u suck.

  • I turned this off after he implied the founders had anything to do with 'under God' in the pledge. Obviously Beck knows that. Obviously.

  • Gotcha! Mr. Beck, you are WRONG! Glen says that god is part of the oath for the judiciary(this is a violation of Article VI). Mr. Beck and consevative777 god is not legally part of our government, The US Constitution is a secular contract between the people as whole and the people from among us who volunteer to represent our interests as the government. Article VI makes this contract our highest law by which our rights can be established and guaranteed, as well as government authority set up.

  • Yeah, it's ironic that anyone who's open minded would question a belief system rooted in rape, genocide, sexism, child murder, eternal suffering, contradiction scriptures, slavery and the preaching of a god that claims to be perfect and moral but needs and demands worship. Yes, how ironic. This is a polytheistic and non-theistic nation. After this country was stolen by supposedly moral christians, this was, is and will always be a secular nation. Close the fairy tale book.

  • Funny how the framers of the Constitution never mention God or Jesus in the body of the Constitution. The only mentions of religion are forbidding a religious test for elected officials and forbidding Congress from recognizing any religion over another.

  • what kind of dribble is this im waiting for "send your money to glen beck .com" and u will b saved

  • "In God We Trust" only became the national motto in the 1950s. Dumbass.

  • @DonJulioBlanco2002 It pisses me off that other people don't realise that!

  • One Nation (((Not))) Under God

  • the more religious a region of the world is ..the more ignorant and impoverished it is...(unless they have oil of course)...

  • @BaurakAle7 Isn't that what is implicit within 'proper inference'? As in, 'making the most accurate assessment possible', or, 'coming as close to the truth as possible'? I didn't mean it in the sense of, here's the truth, study it; but in the sense of, the study of making the most truthful assessment possible.

(And, there's no way to arrive at a logical claim of the existence of god...that you know of)

  • Oh Yeah? How about the eyewitness accounts of actual exorcisms? How about actual eye witness accounts of healing from faith? How about eye witness accounts of a near death experience of people who have seen the light and heard the voice of God? These ARE NOT hallucinations, and if you say so, then you are just determined to not believe and will receive your just reward in the next life.

  • @munku121 It's true, it's possible that there were some eye-witness accounts of actual exorcisms [et al]; however, how do you know that these were not hallucinations? Or, even more simply, how do you know that these weren't simple coincidences that were interpreted as divine intervention, where similar cases without such coincidences weren't viewed as such?

  • @munku121 [in other words, misrepresenting the actual situation; a more fair assessment, I feel, would be to say; 1 person got better from exorcism, whereas 200 others with similar symptoms were cured by neurological medication/surgery. Or, this person who claims that he/she was divinely healed got better after 2 weeks, whereas 12 other people with the same physiology who prayed to a different god, and allegedly were divinely healed, healed after the same amount of time]

  • Comment removed

  • @ExEverest10 I'm not saying that they're hallucinations, but I am saying that there are alternative explanations that occur far more often, and which cast significant doubt on the validity of the belief that these situations were divinely caused [in part, or whole]. To quote Sherlock Holmes: 'when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth' [a slightly naive sentiment, but one that passes my standard of fallaciousness].

  • You are just like all of the other scientific ignorant people. Just because you weren't there or science can't explain it, doesn't mean that it isn't real! Your just afraid to admit that science is NOT the absolute pinnacle of human understanding!

  • @munku121 Did you read my messages? That's precisely what I'm saying; if science can't explain something, whilst having the amount of information that they typically require to explain similar situations, then I would be completely willing to entertain a divine explanation. Science is only trumped by philosophy, I'm afraid; it's pretty close to the pinnacle of human understanding, because it [at least in the majority of cases] indiscriminately searches for the truth.

  • @munku121 I await your explanation as to why it isn't the pinnacle of human understanding; I trust you know that it's not enough to say something, you have to prove that it's right as well.

  • If science were the absolute pinacle of human understanding: then how come the scientists can't explain what CAUSED the Big Bang to happen? WHERE did the material come from? And don't laugh at this, but if humans evolved from monkeys: then how come there are still monkeys in the world today?

  • @munku121 Because it's the pinnacle of *human* understanding. Not the understanding of an omniscient being, diety, etc. Human. Fallible and ignorant. So you take your pick; people who say that they know of a diety who is the reason behind everything, without any proof to this claim, or people who perpetually contest each other's beliefs, and therefore, have a significantly higher probability of reaching a higher degree of knowledge and understanding than the previous group.

  • @munku121 About the monkeys, you're not carrying the concept of evolution far enough; each species is evolving to suit it's environment. When people say that humans evolved from monkeys they don't actually mean that they evolved from *all* monkeys that we see today. [Indeed, I think such a thing would be a logical non-sequitur, as species aren't supposed to be able to inter-breed, and therefore evolution from a number of species, afaik, is impossible.]

  • @munku121 When people talk of monkeys evolving, they mean that a distinct species existed in an environment long enough to where they evolved to human form. If the same species were to be put in a different environment, given enough time, it's not a given that they would evovle to human form either; some monkeys have really long front limbs, while having stubby back ones; other monkeys have proportionate limbs. Clearly there are different types of monkeys, and afaik, we're no different.

  • @munku121 Significantly removed from the rest of the 'monkey' genetic pool? Sure. Related all the same? I think so.

  • @munku121 we didn't evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor with the monkeys that are around today, get it got it good

  • @munku121 So, if there are literally no other explanations one could think of for the accounts of exorcisms, healing [etc] sure, I would be willing to entertain them as being divine in nature [assuming all manner of tests have been conducted, which would typically explain such an event scientifically, but in this case, are unable to do so]; however, I am not aware of any such case...

  • @munku121 I'm not even speaking of cases where scientists were unable to explain the problem with modern tech., but ones where a simple comparison to a seizure+placebo can't explain an exorcism, and a regress to the mean can't explain [or, at least, cast significant doubt upon] divine healing.

  • @BaurakAle7 It's not insanity, at least in the vernacular sense, but it isn't a sane decision...or that's my assessment, anyhow. Logic is the study of truth, and in that sense, logic has a 'monopoly' on it. To forgo logic is to forgo truth. Even if one's omniscient, one has no way of knowing that for certain unless logic is applied to their opinions.

  • @BaurakAle7 there is no hell.... belief in the supernatural is pure primitive ignorance... it's the 21st century, time to grow up.

  • @ab330 I don't think you have a way to substantiate your intial claim.

  • There is a Hell. It's about time that YOU grow up and stop being so ignorant about the existence of the God of the universe! There is plenty of evidence! Eyewitness accounts of healing by faith, near death experiences that provide a glimspe of the after life, exorcisms, and many other things!

  • @munku121 That isn't direct evidence for the existence of God [etc.], at least not until this evidence can't be contested by similar cases where a seizure and placebo were to blame [in regards to exorcism], and why it was only a limited number of persons who experienced the OBEs, whereas other people saw nothing; were they all going to hell/purgatory?

  • @munku121 Was a significant portion of the people who experienced an NDE, and who were morally similar to the ones experiencing OBEs during NDE concealing the fact that they had an OBE? I'm not so sure. People do run trials on these things, prayer was tested and found ineffective, as was OBE [if memory serves].

  • Glen...you are going to hell for being a Mormon.. the bible says so...

  • Arent conservatives against the bending of rules? If it was in the rules, and they bent them for one person, why wouldnt they bend the rules for everyone, just saying

  • "Largely a christian nation" is VERY different then a "christian nation." We are also largely a white nation. Maybe we can just say we are a "white chrsitian nation?" That'll sound great. Very 21st century and very melting pot.

Please. The language in the constituion is merely a product of the times. Most were not that religious if at all. And several fought tooth and nail to keep religion completely out of the gov't. Read your history books people, and don't trust a religious loon like Beck.

  • I'm conservative and Christian and love this.

  • mountain meadows massacre

  • 6 god doesn't care

    7 god isn't there

    8 god never was

Hope that helps that right wing mother fuckers list

  • God, Glenn is so stupid. He doesn't realize that the founding fathers were religious outcasts. Why would they put religion in our Constitution when the fathers were regularly persecuted for their religious beliefs. I'm Catholic, but I wish these stupid idiots would stop trying to push their religious beliefs on other people. Keep it to yourself, Glenn.

  • Sounds good. But there is one small problem that makes his rant completely useless. God doesn't even exist, too bad.

  • im liberal i think its ironic that a country original established on religious freedom should say that they are the ones under god. so your gonna tell me that every other country on this planet is under what?? the devil?? i dont hate christianity and im really tolerant of jews buddhist it dosnt matter to me

  • I don't hate God.

    I just hate Christians.

    Get it right, Beck.

  • Liberals hate religion, and therefore they Love God.

  • sarah palin and glenn beck should just be shot. maybe i'll make that my life's mission

  • Mormon God is NOT the same God as Catholics and Protestants and Muslims pray to.

The Mormons are VERY specific about this.

When Glenn Beck says to pray, hes is talking about HIS MORON GOD, Elohim.

Plus Mormons say God has had sex with Mary, so Mary IS NOT A VIRGIN.

    They are VERY different.

The Mormons are obviously taking over the "spiritual leadership" that the Catholics and Evangelical Christians used to do provide for Americans.”

  • @walkingindec45 Have you ever talked to a real live Mormon about their religion or did you just find the "weird things mormons believe" video?

  • @ahensley1000 I have plenty of Mormon and friends and coworkers, its what they believe.

  • @walkingindec45 I couldn't find anything about "Elohim" (except for non-mormon websites). Maybe you could find something online. I did, however, find mormon sites (mormons. org and allaboutmormons. com) but I didn't see anything mentioning "Elohim".

  • @ahensley1000 try google

  • @walkingindec45 google says that Elohim is a Hebrew name for God.

  • @ahensley1000 Google knows all!!

  • He has a point about the word "God" being eliminated from that scouts flag for his grandfather, but Glenn Beck is still a lying D-bag.

Guess what, you don't have to believe in God in America, just the Constitution and the rule of law.

  • All hope is gone.

  • The constitution mentions the word god a number of zero times

  • Well, I'm not gonna lie...I hate God as much as I hate liberals. Conservatives are faggots, too. You guys need to stop complaining and start having more sex.

But in his defense, Glenn Beck is a never ending source of entertainment...he is, after all, an entertainer.

  • conservative777 is a complete idiot. That is obvious to me from his description of this video. Liberals hate God? Oh please...

  • "Hate Christianity"? Liberals only hate it when the conservatives try to ram it down non-christian's throats.

  • Wow so it was the founding fathers who put "one nation under god" into the pledge of alligence and not ulta conservative right wing christians who first put it into their schools and then managed to get the government to add it to the original pledge (which by the way did not include any mention of god) in 1954 which was like 200 years after what the founding fathers did.

  • @mattnashisgay Just the kind of stupid comment one would expect from someone who uses the "GAY" in his screen name. Homosexuals KNOW that their is a GOD but they deny HIM because to ACKNOWLEDGE HIM would mean they would have to give up the immoral sinful lifestyle they engage in. So by denying HIM their is no RIGHT or WRONG. It's a way out to do what ever feels good without having to be Accountable or responsible. Our Nation is and will always be ONE NATION UNDER GOD. Deal with it.

  • I would like Mr. Beck to show me anywhere in Judeo-Christian Holy Writ where it is God's Commandment that men must live in Freedom in a Republic.

For indeed, every example of governance in God's "Holy Writ" is tyrannical.

  • The only thing that's being argued here is that his religious beliefs are right and mine are wrong. He provides NO logical, theological argument to back these.

Glenn beck saying "this is what I believe" does not make it true, and saying Benjamin Franklin believes it doesn't either. The founding fathers also owned slaves; they are not by any means infallible guides.

This is a dangerous mindset that a nation itself can have a belief. Only people have beliefs.

    He's simply pandering to christians

  • @Harlan246 I see you were lied to by the Liberals who fed you the REWRITTEN VERSION of American History and about our Founders. Go do your homework and stop with the Liberal B.S. It's getting old.

    Read a few books:

    1. Setting the Record Straight: American History in Black & White

    By David Barton

    2.George Washington's Sacred Fire

    by Peter A. Lillback

3.The Real Benjamin Franklin (American Classic Series)

    By Andrew M. Allison

    4.The Road to Serfdom:

    by F. A. Hayek

  • @Jaymee1971 That has absolutely nothing to do with what I said. I didn't make any historical assertion, but rather criticizing Glenn Beck's mindset and dangerous social philosophy.

  • @Jaymee1971

If you were to read in the monumental "Annals of American History" published in the 1970's you would see from primary sources that the founders had various opinions on religion; and while most believed in some kind of God they hardly would have agreed with the Religious Right.

I can tell you a test that would shut the mouths of Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh the Many Times Married, Ann Coulter and the whole lot--and the Democratic fellow travelers as well. What would that be?

  • more Glenn Beck bullshit lol history is a funny thing glenn take the time to read it before u preach it

  • So Libs "Hate God" ?

A good case can be made that if Jesus retuned today, he would be labeled as "a liberal" by our so called conservatives, who never saw a war they didn't like..never really believed that we are our brothers keeper.. and think "social justice" is a commie plot. Modern conservatives have lost their way.

    - "Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after justice"

    - "Blessed are the merciful"

    - "Blessed are the peacemakers"

    Libs "Hate God" ?

Judge not , that ye be not judged.

  • In the description it says, "liberals hate god." That would be assuming that every liberal is an atheist, and even if that were true, then it would be ridiculous for them to hate something that doesn't exist. The US is not a Christian nation, but don't just take my word for it, read the Notes on the State of Virginia, in which Thomas Jefferson writes, "There is not one redeeming feature in our superstition of Christianity. It has made one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites."

  • It doesn't matter if libs hate God or not. That's what freedom of religion is for. It's actually part of the Constitution, but Glenn Beck may not know that.

  • Lol, I learned about the Mormons receantly during S.S.

  • Thank you Glenn Beck!

United States IS ONE NATION UNDER GOD. People tend to forget that. WE WERE SET UP AS A CHRISTIAN NATION BY OUR FOUNDING FATHERS.

This topic is a great topic to talk about, but to read all of these horrible and hate comments on the video is almost hard to read. People need to start caring for each other and recognizing that USA was set up as a Christian nation, if you don't like it, I am not stopping you to MOVE OUT OF THE COUNTRY.

  • @trumpetguy124 Are you sure about that? You are aware of the fact that a lot of our founding fathers were deists? The father of the constitution John Madison was a deist. Jefferson our 3rd president and writer of the declaration of independence was a deist.

  • AMEN!!

  • AMEN! Psalm 53:1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God," They are corrupt, and have committed abominable injustice!

  • @mikestheman3 So you're basically saying that the other 66% of the whole world population, Hindus, Muslims, Atheists, Buddhists etc. - more than 4 and a half billion people - are corrupt? I'm not hating, I'm just asking you a question.

  • In Affectionate Love, the one truth Glenn fails to address is that 'God' is the Hebrew name of the Babylonian false deity: 'Fortune'. See any Strong's Concordance in its Hebrew dictionary #1408,1409. 'Fortune distributor' translated to Greek=Daemon. See Greek dictionary #1142. The word 'God' came into English through ancient Germanic language and is, in fact, the NAME of a pagan deity, an IDOL. It is a common Teutonic word for personal OBJECT of religious worship, formally applicable to..

  • ..super-human beings of HEATHEN MYTH. Upon conversion of the Teutonic peoples to Xianity, the term then applied to Supreme Being. America [Ephrayim] is and shall fall because of its reverence toward an IDOL and its NON-acknowledgment of their true Mighty Ones: Yahweh Yahuwshua. YshaYahuw [Isaiah] 65:11,12 provides clear warning to those who misplace the mountain of His Pureness to line up unto 'God' [Fortune distributor] and 'Money' [Destiny]. See the website on our page for more details-Repent!

  • @trumpetguy124 Wait, how could we be a CHRISTIAN NATION (!!!)?

The Founders--the people Glenn Beck doesn't know about--prescribed in the Constitution the fact that we are a country of no official religion, a country based on freedom of religion.

Other countries, countries like the Islamic Republic of Iran (and all the freedom within Iran), are nations with official religions.

  • @trumpetguy124 you enjoy your double standards, dont you.

you say liberals (I am not one btw, im a UK conservative, which is different to US conservatives) spread hate and such, yet at the end of this very post you basically say 'accept Christian values or get lost.' So am i not allowed in your country cos im an atheist? Sounds kind and loving to me.

In the modern world of equality, and over here especially in Europe, America is essentially a laughing stock, mostly because of religious nuts

  • @BluJugganaut LAUGHING STOCK?

    Which countries would that be?

The ones whose ass we saved?

Or the ones whose ass we kicked?

  • @ekajeht Brawn does not equal brains. Brawn has nothing to do with morality, equality or education. You are a laughing stock in reference to the brains department.

Just come to the UK and ask anyone on the street. You'll realise what I mean.

  • @BluJugganaut BRAINS?

    The UK has brains?

How's that country doing over there?

I havn't heard about anyone other than muslims trying to get into your country.

And the prospect of me ever going to the UK is zero!

There is NOTHING in the UK that is worth pissing on if it were on fire.

  • I am neither democrat nor republican, but what I find strange about Glenn Beck and the republican party is on the one hand they oppose a "nanny state". Well so do I. But then they defer all ultimate responsibility to a conceptual entity the existence of which we cannot validate. Glenn is always saying god this and god that. Who's god? Which god? Thor? Zeus? Allah? No body can know. Those who claim to cannot prove it. I have trouble with that.

  • @RATIONALMIND001

    YHWH.

Daniel 24-27 is proof of God, do some research.

  • You simply can NOT resolve being a Christian with being a conservative. If you truly believe in the Scripture, you're by definition a liberal.

Jesus, preaching the exact same message in this day and age as He did 2000 years ago, would be scorned, debased, and killed once again -- mostly by those who claim to be "Christians."

It's as if being a Christian mandates killing abortion doctors, hating gays, and excluding anyone not like ourselves. Oh, change is terrible.

    Hypocrisy at its finest.

  • @Lichtspielhaus234

If you had studiet anything, you woud'nt call us Darwinians.

  • We're not one nation under God and anyone to insinuate this is delusional.

You say we're founded on Christianity. We're founded on a form of Christianity now vacant and vanished, rendered obsolete by the very same religion as it progressed into the future.

We are the most religiously diverse nation in the world. We are NOT one nation under God.

Rather, all idealism aside, we are a nation of many, self-segregated by our own religious and political animosity.

    Glenn Beck is delusional.

  • i think you're taking it the wrong way, they use God not only as a christian God but of what God you praise, worship and such... would it make sense for the founding fathers to put In God, Bhudda, Allah, Jehovah, Jesus, and Athiest we trust? of course not... they put God as in just the God you believe in whether you worship Jehovah, then he's your God... or Allah, then he's your God... that is what they meant by that... at least that's how i understand it...

  • No, actually, that's most definitely not what Glenn Beck is saying. He means the God of Abraham, the Father of Jesus, the Holy Spirit. He's proud of his Christian background and he makes this very clear almost every show.

  • I do not hate 'god'. I do not believe in religion and therefore respond negatively to it's idiocy.

  • "liberals hate god. its ironic that libs who pretend to be open minded and tolerant to different life styles would hate Christianity. "

Libs tend (not pretend) to be tolerant, yes, but one thing they do not tolerate is intolerance.

Since Christianity, despite arguments to the contrary, is a religion of hate, bigotry, arrogance, etc. (IOW a philosophy of intolerance) libs do not tend to tolerate hellfire and damnation spouting bible beaters.

  • i am a christian and i don't really get along with liberals just as much as ALL liberals don't get along with christians... truth is, if liberals show there true self, no one would really vote for them into office well knowing majority of americans are christians, catholics, muslims, or of other faith... the only people crying about this whole "In God We Trust" issue are the athiest and liberals...

  • When did Jesus become pro-war? When did God go with GUNS AND GOLD? Read the freaking bible! And he calls himself a Christian. What a disgrace.

  • Ha. You state I accuse you of things you never said.

Oh, that is rich. You are a hypocrite. That is exactly what you have been doing to me.

And I have an answer for you:

"Of course you are calling Paine a Marxist. I am "reading between the lines" of your Christian fascist ideology."

Incidentally, Paine was led to reject Christianity due to his critical thinking.

And YOU are biased also. So what? Everyone is biased.

You are an disingenuous asshole. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on.

  • I refuse to respond to you anymore until you have done ANY research of what true Enlightenment is , such as that espoused by Thomas Paine.

Read Age of Reason. Then get back to me without your constant "enlightenment" = "social Darwinism" bullshit.

You have no knowledge of the topic at hand. I cannot debate with you currently.

  • How do I plan to do this exactly?

Through the open exchange of ideas. Through debate and inquiry.

Yes. Children should be taught to think for themselves. Ideally parents would fill this role. But why is encouraging a keen intellect and mental curiosity in the schools a bad thing?

Schools exist to challenge students. To get them to think for themselves.

If you teach a man to fish, you have enlightened him to survive on his own.

You pinned nothing on me but your own delusions.

  • You are a tremendous coward who continues to hide behind straw men.

All you have done is attack me personally since your first comment, and then cravenly hidden behind your remarkably ill informed opinions about what constitutes "Social Darwinism" and "Marxism".

You are an ignorant asshole with a complete lack of courage to address what I have actually stated instead of twisting my words into your own demented mental fantasies.

You need help. Truly. Your delusions run incredibly deep.

  • You have proven you are a liar. Social Darwinism is NOT a science.

You are only 37 years old. You studied evolutionary science for 16 years? In what capacity? What degrees do you carry? What institutions did you attend?

Surely you can prove me wrong by answering these simple questions, since you are obviously an expert on this topic.

Oh, personal attacks do not mean much to me either, but I need to point out you were the first to implement them AND then hypocritically bitch about them.

  • You are intellectually dishonest on every level.

You failed to address a single point I made, and continue to straw man at every avenue.

    "Reading between the lines"?

In other words, you allowed your own subjective ignorance, intolerance, and fear induced indoctrination to MAKE your interpretations for you rather than an honest literal reading of my words.

You declared a witch trial without any evidence.

I never said "take away freedom to believe".

But, your way DOES remove just that.

  • Thomas Paine was a Marxist? Really?

One of the most important men from the Enlightenment was a Communist?

You are engagingly deceitful or willfully ignorant. That is not an ad hominem. It is the observable truth.

Critical thinking is the formation of individual ideals and values based on personal assessment and judgment. It is based on reason and the ability to make informed decisions not indoctrinated by political or religious doctrine.

    Read the 'Age of Reason".

  • You began the personal attacks, by labeling me a "Social Darwinist" and misrepresenting my words, so drop the martyr complex.

I never said anything about "government" or "state" control. Again, you cannot argue without straw men.

As to your other point: It may surprise you to discover that not ALL Christians have YOUR interpretation of the scriptures. Interracial marriage was banned here in the US South for generations because of it, and is still an issue in many areas.

  • In truth, you have presented nothing in your arguments but lies and straw men.

You are not worth having a debate with. It would be like attempting to engage a blind man in a duel.

I do find it ironic that you have adopted a Rammstein's "Cinema" as your screen name, considering the band is comprised mostly of East German atheists.

  • At what point do I add "make them intolerant of those of faith" ?

"People of faith" should be provided equal rights, as are people of NO faith, or people of DIFFERENT faiths.

Again, you straw man. If not for the scarecrow you carry with you to deflect from your lack of intellectual honesty, you would have NO actual arguments to make.

You seem to again be blissfully unaware of research and taking entire stock of passages when it come to your horrid attempts at "quote mining" Darwin's works.

  • "teach Social Darwinism" ?

No. Evolutionary sciences. You again straw man.

Social Darwinism is not a science, has nothing to do with Darwin's theories, and was never part of his beliefs. DO some research.

Social Darwinism is a despicable ideology of "social engineering" based on "racial superiority". It has been used to promote the persecution and destruction of Jews, gays, gypsies, etc.

You would turn Thomas Paine into Adolf Hitler, and think yourself righteous?

    You are a coward.

  • Who said anything about "educational systems"?

This is a constant example of "straw manning" you seem to excel at.

My statements were in response to a question I was asked concerning what I thought would make the world a better place.

I find it funny that you describe teaching children to think for themselves as "indoctrination", yet refuse to accept that drilling religious fear and loyalty into young minds is NOT.

You are mired in an inability to "think critically" you don't see the irony.

  • Lichtspielhaus234, you really seem to have issues that are deep and entrenched.

Your rebuttals are incredibly skewed and involve little more than straw manning on virtually every point.

You are dishonest and seem to have no working knowlegde of biblical doctrine.

For example: The bible teaches that ANY race can be made into slaves, as long as the slave is not a Jew. The bible has been used in the US for generations to justify slavery and banning interracial marriage.

  • Glenn Beck is one of the few people who actually gets it

  • The founders did not put one word about god in the Constitution, because they wanted to keep religion completly out of the government. Beck is always quoting the founders and had the nerve to name his book Common Sense when Tom Paine hated organized relgion.

  • Can one of you name me one charitable thing a religious person can do that an atheist cant?

  • @irtimed Get into Heaven for one!

  • @ekajeht

how do you know there is a heaven?

  • @irtimed FAITH

  • @ekajeht

i was hoping to get an intelligent back and forth... I am sorry.

  • @irtimed I agree. You are.

  • @irtimed

Help them understand they are never alone; a Savior hath surely born all griefs.

There are no atheists in fox holes.

  • @irtimed Yes I can. A Religious Person respects the right of an Atheist to believe whatever he or she wants without questioning that Person. An Atheist believes that he/she has the right to force their Atheist Religion on those who believe in GOD. Examples:

    No Prayer In School

No CHRISTmas Vacation aka is now WINTER SOLICE.

No Bibles in School or Crucifixes

    No National Day of Prayer

    No CHRISTmas songs

No Nativity scenes or xmas lights.

No CHRISTmas trees aka HOLIDAY TREES.

    The list is endless.

  • @irtimed This is a joke: Say god bless you. Oh no I didn't!

  • Mofofosho13 got it right. To anyone who would actually contend that America was founded on Christian principles (whatever those enigmatic shapeshifters are), read article 11. of the Treaty of Tripoli.

  • "Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear." -Thomas Jefferson

  • What a lying loon.

  • "Founded on the principles of god"??

  • God bless Glenn for his courage to state the truth about our nation and its' founders.

  • @andthenitsgone AMEN !!!!!!!! It does take a lot of courage to state the truth about America and our Founders. Unfortunately it drives the Progressive Liberals Mad.

    GO GLENN GO !!!!!!!!!!

  • Glenn is not only an idiot, but a liar. The Founding Fathers put god on our money and in the Pledge of Allegiance? Both "In god we trust" and "under god" were added during the fear mongering 1950s. And Ben Franklin would be appalled by the way religion has taken over government.

  • Jefferson only wrote "Rights endowed by our creator" as a way of putting the basis of our liberties on a plain higher than any government, state entity or person. Thomas Jefferson was not a christian. That's why he wrote the Jefferson Bible, a book that takes out all the supernatural hogwash and just leaves in the morality lessons.

  • I'm liberal as they come, but I don't hate God, or religion. And I love how there are all sorts of beliefs in the city/region that I live in. It just doesn't have a place in government. Religion is a PERSONAL quest/journey/choice. Not of governmental interest.

  • John Adams and John Hancock:

We Recognize No Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus! [April 18, 1775]

    John Adams:

" The general principles upon which the Fathers achieved independence were the general principals of Christianity... I will avow that I believed and now believe that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God."

  • Please pray for believers in Spain who are under constant attacks from the secular socialist government of José Luis Zapatero. Because you know what, in Europe, we still have this nonsense called "socialism". God bless America!!

  • glenn beck annoys me. to death. cheesy theme song. boring!

  • Atheists are the persecuted minority.

  • Minority, yes.

    Persecuted...please.

  • keep your mythology to yourself beck! did you study government--we are secular! you better recheck your facts on the founding fathers..most were called materialists, meaning at that time..agnostic. drink all the kookaid you want and convince yourself your racism and hatred and fears are what your god likes..and more good luck to all you lambs. i am sick of your religious victimization rants.

  • But it is SO COOL to be a "persecuted religious minority"! LOL

Christians make up over 65% of the populace and athiests are barred from the highest public offices.

We atheists are the true persecuted minority.

  • And what would you do better than a "Christian" would?

  • "And what would you [atheist]... do better than a "Christian" would?"

    1.Teach 21st Century progressive sciences

    2.Teach critical thinking skills

3.Enlighten the masses to self determinism

    4.Promote ecological and environmental knowledge

  • 5.Promote learning and knowledge over blind faith

6.Promote equal rights for all people

    7.Denounce bigotry and intolerance

8.Refuse to kill others in a deity's name

    9.Promote sexual responsibility and knowledge

10.Work to improve the lives of other people

11.Uplift the positive works of humanity

12.Celebrate differences rather than fear them

  • LOL 1, 2, 3, 4 better..that's a joke formal education was started by priest and Christians here in this country, look at all the early major universities, man every time I read an atheist's comment I feel so sorry for you guys to be nothing more than the anvil in the this world of God and his word forging the steel of faith in us believers...but it is a needed service so for that I say

    Thanks

    No hard feelings lol

  • So, teaching that the world is 6000 years old, that "the Flintstones" are an accurate model of early man's life, and that all cosmological and biological science is a lie from Satan is your idea of "formal" education?

Most progressive leaps in education and science have been taken by secularists and people willing to buck the Church's authority.

And if atheism "steels" your respective faiths, then why have I never met a single Christian who could defend his faith without apologetic's lies?

  • you WANT to go to hell...huh??

  • Ben Franklin NEVER supported Christianity over any other faith. Quite the opposite actually. He was a Deist.

"...lighthouses are more helpful then churches for illuminating"

" I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life I absented myself from Christian assemblies."

[Benjamin Franklin, in _Toward The Mystery_]

"The way to see by Faith is to shut the eye of Reason."

    [Benjamin Franklin, Poor Richard, 1758]

  • Loving you now!

  • thanks

  • Mormons were ordered brought to justice for the murdering of men, raping of women, kidnapping of innocent children and then blaming it on the Ute Indians.

This is historical. Mormons were NOT persecuted.

  • really/////how about the Native Americans, they were considered heathans because they were not Christians, among other things(they were living on land the gov wanted)

  • Oh brother! I see that Glen is trying to be the Mormon version of Jessie Jackson. The United States government leveled an extermination order against Mormons? What? Does this crybaby want reparations or something? Look we already let you guys have a few wives, what else do you want?

  • that wasn't really the point. he just brought that up to mean that he also sees the importance of separation of church and state (though technically that's a myth, there is only a law that says that they can't enforce religion, it says nothing about silencing it but whatever). however he was also saying that one should be allowed to have god written on the flag certificate. The fact that the state said you can't have god on the certificate is outrageous.

  • @RoscoePatterson You liberals never cease to amaze me. Just when I think that you left wing Progressive Liberal Nuts can't lower the bar any further BINGO you do just that. AMAZING. The hate and the lies and the spinning of what Beck says is astounding. You all seem to lack comprehension skills. So much for the so called TOLERANT LEFT AYE? Open your ears and listen vs making up what you want to. You're so filled with hate you can't see the forest for the trees. PAY ATTENTION Pin.Head
