@Iluvinoichi101 My experience--it looks far better if you use a neutral color like grey, brown, or a metallic color. You could do it with those colors, it would be unique and interesting, but personally I think metallic or browns look better.

Had no clue how to do smokey eyes (or do any good when it came to make-up except just the basic eyeliner on the waterline and mascara) until I saw this and Michelle's other videos when I was 15 xD and now at 18, I'm a lot better with make-up and I get a lot of people asking me where I learned how to do my make-up, I just say them "Watching Michelle Phan really helped me and practice."

Michelle hasn't changed. She's gotten older and more mature. She's learned new techniques and different ways to apply and wear makeup. If you watch her as she put on makeup in her old videos, she looked like a novice, and if you see her now she looks like a pro. That's the only difference.

I give you 2 thumbs up, I've spent money on mac brushes for smokey eyes. And you did great by acheiving it with out all the right tools. I noticed the TYPOs, (but I actually think it was cute). I appreciate your time to show me how to do it. It's great for starters or someone who doesn't have the money to spend on expensive brushes.
