  • still on top^^

  • "And make no mistake, there's women who just wait for the man and machine with the best time.."

Phenomenal song. There were a lot of street racers who hung out at the bar where my band used to play .We used to do this one and Van Halen's "Panama" for them.

  • @GuitarChickSG1 you wouldn't to have tabs for this song would you?

be cool to learn it, seeing as i grew up not to far from Lake Avenue

  • @chazzyfresh33 I'm sorry, babe. I've been playing by ear since I was 7 years old, (both a blessing and a curse)so I've not really used tabs much. Do the racers still "rev it' on Lake Avenue?

  • @GuitarChickSG1 nuts. but yeah we still do :)

  • It's cool that Lou does this one considering it's an Al Greenwood song.

  • Wasn't Lake Ave. for me, it was Rt. 220 up in Centerville, Pa. and boy did we ever rev them to the red line. My 73 Camaro used to eat them alive until I got broadsided by a drunk driver. Oh well, the memories.

  • That's Lou Gramm? Good grief! What happened? Doesn't look or sound like the old LG.

  • i love this song, like in life, i'd rather blow up redlining & racing than rust in a field.

  • His Voice sounds much better than a few Years before.

  • my favorite foreigner song. don't hear it much.

  • im from rochester and i met lou gramm.his cousin was my eighth grade teacher.(grammatico).i used to run all night on lake ave.

  • Ahhhh, Lake Ave...

  • So true sad but true

  • I'd prefer the studio version, and Lou is not at his peak anymore, but no one can take his place either

  • @MetallicBill

i disagree, i like his new style. i never did like that quaky high voice. his lower voice gives him a style for some reason i can "relate" to.

  • Well, he's more shaky now with his voice, I know he was at one point where it was suspected he couldn't sing again, so by all means, I'm glad he did!

  • His voice has improved over the last few years. At least he's still rocking

  • Rochester N.Y. Lake avenue parallels the Genesee river down to lake Ontario, ending in a park. In the early 80's there were lots of bars with killer bands. Never forget the Penny Arcade! Thanks for the best of times.

  • @tymsrfr Penny Arcade? That makes no cents.

  • God bless you, Lou! Thanks for all of the memories. Rock on, bro!

  • It's a piece of cake if you know what to do...

  • GOD BLESS LOU for showing, courage, tenacity & the power of the human spirit can overcome the seemingly impossible!

  • That's Lou? Oh, my, that's awful. That doesn't look or sound like Lou at all.

  • yea he had a brain tumor in the late 90s, fucked up his vocal chords and his weight fluctuated lots, i'd say considering though he's doing an awesome job!

  • thanks tutusec - another recent video - appreciate it so much, Lou Gramm is always in our minds and our ears !! so courageous Lou !!! (after his so important health problems)

  • Excellente video. Gracias.

  • Me alegra que te gustara. Gracias por comentar!

  • Totalmente de acuerdo jeje

  • ¡ARRIBA EL ROCK!,,,, .....yeah!.....
