  • My son and I had the privledge of working on this film. What a great concept and incorporation of all the requirement for Project Direct. Thanks for allowing us to be a part of this creation! Lorelle and Dakoa Carter

  • Nice movie, really moving.

  • Awesome, touching film and so much fun to make....nothing like guerilla subway filming! Even though Dakota and I are actors in the movie, we STILL think it should have won on it's own merits! Great job Ann!!! Lorelle and Dakota Carter

  • this is one should have won. every part fits together perfectly. i love how you can say so much without having to say it all.

  • Nice job. This is a lovely, subtle film that manages to pack a punch with the reveal at the end. I was surprised how moving a short film could be. Well done!

  • Difficult to follow. May be the reason it didn't win. Not enough clues as to what was going on. I didn't even notice that he DIDN'T have the ashes at first because of the camera angles, hands in his pockets, back turned, etc. So if you didn't understand the first part, then the rest doesn't really make sense. Could have been better crafted. But thanks for this creation.

  • Very well done. They need to fire all those striking writers since they can't write worth a damn and hire people like you who has writing talent.

  • Very touching. I'm shocked the sound worked so well on the subway. This movie is incredible for the fact that it truly speaks to you rather than entertain alone. Why this didn't make it into the top 3 I will never know.

  • so sad. :(

  • was this shot in LA?

  • Bravo!

This is a very True & Beautiful film!

It is interesting - to say the least - what we do to put off saying "good-bye!"

    Thank you.

    Kudos!

  • Very beautiful. Thank you so much.

    Best of luck today.

  • kind of confusing, but after reading what the people said below i understood it (:

  • Guy picks up his dad's ashes and is supposed to take them to the funeral. He stays on the subway all day because he doesn't want to give up his father. He continues to ignore his mother's phone calls, and continues to ignore his subway stop. Touching story. Well done.

  • I got everything except the ashes part. It's way clearer now. Thank You for explaining :)

  • thx 4 explaining

  • the idea is a blur, the lead actor, who's supposed to cover anxiety by talking to people is confused at best, the whole direction is misleading. i'm sorry, but it's so bad it's good kinda movie.

  • Great acting!

  • Original, funny and serious. Good acting.

  • Sweet and sad short film. I realized it was his Father's ashes... it made perfect sense. Well done.

  • i don't understand what this film is about..

  • ok i partially understand what the film is about only at the last part.. but would someone enlighten me and tell me why is adam chatting with the boy, girl businessman... and who called him and why is he rejecting the call?

  • It keeps getting better...

  • Thanks for so wonderful work

    best of luck

  • great job, very professional. Much luck to you Ann!

  • You made Ken Tanaka cry.

  • how did you get such good sound on the subway?!

  • Simple and simply wonderful. Poetic for lack of gimmick.

  • Proves that films don't have to be long to be poignant. Subtle and emotional ending. Very well written and an excellent job of incorporating the "3 rules" of the competition. Congrats.

  • I loved the dialogs in the subway. Very clever.

Hope the best of luck in this final part of the competition!

  • Awesome you guys! It's wonderful to see dreams becoming a reality! Congrats to everyone that worked on this movie!

  • A perfect little film. Nicely crafted and told story, fine acting, poignant and funny.

  • Awesome facial expressions from Adam.

  • Beautiful. Very accomplished. I hope your work here is recognized. Just outstanding! Good luck...

  • Great movie! best of luck.

  • Beautifully directed and acted. Moving story.
