@Maysoun2009 Aw, come on... babies are unpredictable little creatures and can miscarriage or come out prematurely. Yeah, sure, she should probably not have been flying, but should the airline *prohibit* her from doing so? I don't think so.
@Mindraker1 This things could happen which is why most airlines advice that women who are six months pregnant or over DO NOT FLY. And if they do they have to have a very valid reason (namely emergency) and a certificate from the doctor.
I celebrate every birth but I think this lady should've known better. It's a question of hygiene not only for her and her child but also for the rest of the passengers, I mean I wouldn't like to fly under those conditions
thanks for all the comments and the likes.. just want to point out that i wrote a little something about the video which includes many answers to the questions posted here.. you just click on 'see more' under the video to access the write up.. thanks again!! toodles!
Stupid people and their silly tactics of cheap seats on a plane. Hopefully she had to pay the airline for the childs journey as well. Jokes, very lucky baby!
"There is a reason why she was traveling alone, and why she had to lie to the airline company that she was 7 months pregnant (when it was actually 9 months), but I'll leave it out since it is a private matter."
Why put this line in the description if you're not going to tell what it was anyway?
@xclaimer365 Its irresponsible to fly pregnent at that period..she should have been denyied boarding..its not an airline s responsiblilty to act as a hospital.
@xclaimer365 how could the gate agent let them board...the fillippinos breed like rabbits, but there are airline regulations in order to avoid this..if the baby did not survive the birth would the Fillippina sue the airline for not having a maternity ward omboard..no pregnent female passangers after a cetrain period.
Place of birth is the based on nationality of the airline.
Question is why was this woman allowed to travel when in the last trimester of her pregnancy? Airlines usually require a doctors certification letter etc to be given the airline before being allowed to travel when pregnant. On this basis the woman would have been refused especially when birth of her child was iniment.
its so fatigue for a woman to born in airplane oh am glad everything went okay but the oxygen masks can hold 14 minutes only n the pressure for the baby isnt good
Ok very cute baby and true which country was this baby born in? The real questions is why do idiot women fly on airlines when they are so close to concieving a child? What people do to make money or try to benefit some other way honestly. I'd be preety pissed if my flight is compromised by a screaming Woman on a plane and I don't get to where I have to be on time.
oh shut it sister dont break a nail this woman could have easily bee on her 7th month on the pregnancy .. who cares about the rest of the ppl besides a lot of them would understand the issue .. just go back to the closest airport leave the child and the mother and continue on with your trip, BIG FUCKING DEAL its not like ur gonna lose ur flight or anything a bit late but ur still gettin to ur destination .. DONT YOU ??
Oh right thats the solution, I'm supposed to be held back to accomodate someone who isn't fit for flying. I don't fly often (about once in a year) so I expect things to go smoothly. Obviously I can understand things like weather and mechanical issues but those are EXTERNAL factors. This is so preventable, all for public attention. Shes probably gonna get her own show or tons of money whiles a working joe like me will have to fork over money.
last time i m preganant 5months, we tell to crews, and we went fom Paris to Djakarta, long journey. BUT i hate the KLM bad service coz my foot cramping, toooooo small the chairs for me!!sorry to tell the truth, i still keep the boarding ticket!!
It might come to be that when the kid goes to school, and the teacher ask where were you born, he might say, i was born well over the ocean. and if they ask when was the first time you were on an airplane, hell just say, when i was 0 years old 0 seconds and 0 minutes old!
I know there is an International Air Law that if any baby were born on any airline deck, the baby would get a Free ticket for the rest of his life on the Airlines he/she was born on.
Very cute :) does this mean now that he/she can get free tickets via Kuwait Airways from now till the age of 18 (similar to jazeera airways where a baby was born and she can get free tickets till age 18) or will the baby have to pay for his tickets via this airline?
Pregnat people probaly shouldnt fly. But that is interesting that it happened, of all times. 30,000 some odd feet in the air. When the child grows up , he/she will have an interesting story to tell.
I was myself part of Kuwait airways cabin crew some years back and I can assure you that nobody without practical experience would know how to assist a delivery.
I can only guess why the poor woman was travelling alone and why she had to lie to the airline representatives in order to board the plane.
My mum was pregant with myself on a Qantas plane and with my brother from malaysia back home. But If in Australia they would be at the airport for a long time.
So they noticed that they have a woman in labor onboard right after take-off, and still continued to fly to Manila like nothing had happened? If something similar were to happen in onboard any North American or European carrier they'd divert immediately to the nearest major airport with a medical emergency.
splendidhorse1966 said "Praise GOD both Mom and Baby survive" uhh. since when was childbirth a medical condition that was life threatening?? People have babies everyday all over the world. just because it was in an airplane doesn't mean it was an emergency!
it is an emergency strawberry..this is a normal delivery...but imagine if the baby showed up with his foot first...in this case no one of the flight attendants will take the responsibility to deliver...therefore they'll have to do an emergency landing...there's worse...a baby born with the cord that connect him to his mother around his neck !! what would u do ?? people have babies everyday in hospitals and wih medical assistance :) :) !! cheers
Who was that at 1:05-1:06? "Pwe... Pwede bang buksan ang camera?:-B". If I was there, I'll answer, "Pwede... May battery kasi eh.. E ikaw, pwede ba kitang itapon sa labas ng eroplano?!"

(1) What is the reason behind that young children love flying?
(2) Why do a commerical jet so attractive to children?
(3) What is the most attractive inflight meal for children?
(4) What is the best inflight entertainment and airline toys for children?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

So that is a problem. There is no way to determine how old the pregnancy is. That can't be solved . can it?

If a baby is born on an American Airline that is headed for Heathrow airport in London England, which country would the child belong to?
The nationality of the airline, which would be America or the destination of the airline which would be England?

If a baby was born on board during a flight, his/her nationality will be similar to his/her mom (regardless of where the airplane was).

The baby's nationality will be similar to his mom. The baby was born on air and not in a runway or an airport.
