I watched this Documentary early in 2011, but I still ate Meat. Justifying my actions by telling myself that the footage shown were simply isolated images and that cruelty rarely happens. But then I remembered the chicken and the goat--I'm a Vegan now and I made the Connection
I am a teacher and I show this to my students. They come to me and ask me where their food and other things come from, because they know I am a vegan and they are genuinely interested. I have shown this doumentary to all my classes. I find that teenagers are far more interested in making changes than most adults I know.....

How can a person look into the eyes of these creatures and carry out what they are doing without so much as a hesitation. If you really look at an animal that is injured you can see the pain and fear. The Big Lie is so immense that it´s an embarrassment to the whole Universe. The humanity needs to be reprogrammed. We asre posined also, from media, from the school system and ignorant parents. We can't feed the world's growing population on meat. Using 2.5 acres of land to raise cattle would support the energy requirements of 1 person. Using the same amount of land to grow potatoes would support 22 people. (From the book The Food Revolution)
And 40% of the world's grain goes to feed livestock. But it takes 16 pounds of grain to produce 1 pound of US feedlot beef. We are literally throwing away our food and our health. Meat is not the answer.

This movie has a lot of sensitive points in relation to mankind's interaction with animals. However, there are 100's of millions of human beings that die from starvation or malnutrition who would literally "kill" to feed themselves and their families. And this is with the current "cheap" corporate food system in place. Imagine if meat were cut from human beings diet at a mass scale. The death rates would be astronomical as food prices would heavily incline. Don't take meat for granted.

The film makes a good point: it is people's unwillingness to see the truth that allows this farce to continue. I sent the link to this video to my mother, who responded, "I couldn't watch it, it was so horrible," and then telling me about the totally awesome leather purse she'd just bought. When I confronted her about it, she refused to believe that she was part of the problem. It's people like that who make the world the way it is, even in the face of overwhelming evidence!
I just want to say that it's not just the people doing the actual killing that are to blame, everyone is a part of this problem and that's the point the documentary is trying to make. If you buy leather, eat meat, are vegetarian like me but eat fish, etc etc, you are still part of the problem. I am a teacher and I show this to my students. They come to me and ask me where their food and other things come from, because they know I am a vegan and they are genuinely interested. I have shown this doumentary to all my classes. I find that teenagers are far more interested in making changes than most adults I know.....

How can a person look into the eyes of these creatures and carry out what they are doing without so much as a hesitation. If you really look at an animal that is injured you can see the pain and fear. @supermangenetics If you actually watch the whole documentary, it comments that these are INDUSTRY standards. We are trying to feed every American a meat meal 2-3 times a day. The demand for so much meat creates inhumane and violent standards to animal slaughter. Not every American can eat farm fresh meat, eggs, and milk.

We all have to consider our eating habits and try to change for the better. If we don't change then nothing will get changed. I practically forced my mother to watch this film, and after 50 years of living on this earth, she is now changing her eating habits. People care, but they don't want to care. Whatever we do, we're powerless. It's all beacuse of those people, who started slaughterhouses and so on, that create the problem. It's not really just us who buy leather, meat and so on that've caused it all. But the sad thing is : if the people who make theese "products" were to suddenly stop, there'll be someone else who'll be happy to step into their shoes. That's simply a fact, i'm afraid. This movie has a lot of sensitive points in relation to mankind's interaction with animals. However, there are 100's of millions of human beings that die from starvation or malnutrition who would literally "kill" to feed themselves and their families. And this is with the current "cheap" corporate food system in place. Imagine if meat were cut from human beings diet at a mass scale. The death rates would be astronomical as food prices would heavily incline. Don't take meat for granted.

The film makes a good point: it is people's unwillingness to see the truth that allows this farce to continue. I sent the link to this video to my mother, who responded, "I couldn't watch it, it was so horrible," and then telling me about the totally awesome leather purse she'd just bought. When I confronted her about it, she refused to believe that she was part of the problem. It's people like that who make the world the way it is, even in the face of overwhelming evidence!

I just want to say that it's not just the people doing the actual killing that are to blame, everyone is a part of this problem and that's the point the documentary is trying to make. If you buy leather, eat meat, are vegetarian like me but eat fish, etc etc, you are still part of the problem. If everyone made a tiny commitment to helping this cause, many animal lives would be spared. I know im giving up fish. The least anyone can do is educate themselve and decide how to help.

This goes to show within the earth, we live with wicked human beings. Do not turn a blind eye to this, pass this information around far and wide, we can stop this, or at least contribute to stopping it. My heart goes out to all the animals, I hope they find peace on the other side. What a wicked set of humans.

this is the saddest, most disturbing, eye opening thing i have seen in all my life alot of the scenes i had to scroll down because i just couldnt watch anything suffer like that. it makes me think how heartless and numb can someone get? animals are just like us they have the same needs and wants as humans but yet you would never do this to a person if these animals were your children how upset or angry would that make the slaughterers feel. karma's a bitch and it will drag you to heaven or hell
