I have a friend who's an atheist. He told me he has a problem with Christianity refusing to accept scientific proofs that show conclusions such as how the Earth is old, and how matter cannot be created nor destroyed, etc. I showed him from the video. I testified how a country hick in Palmyra, New York, was preaching about how matter is eternal, and how Kolob is God's timepiece, how 1000 years to God is a day to us, meaning the Earth is must be old.
but, if you dislike the LDS faith and are just pretending to be curious and looking for someone to prove shawn mccraney wrong, i'm sorry and can't help you.
(if you are sincerely interested in the LDS church take no offense. I only say that because some try to pretend to be an innocent person who wants answers when in reality their mind is already made up(they believe the lds church is wrong and for some reason feel it's their duty to argue about it on the internet))
If you really are sincere (and i'll give you the benefit of the doubt) and are looking for someone to prove this guy wrong talk to the missionaries and ask God if their message is true. Thats how i proved other things wrong, because the Spirit of God confirmed to me that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His restored original church that has the true Priesthood Authority to act in God's name.

Mau, fractals etc everything testifies of eternal nature of God and His works including our own soul when it is living right. There is a simple truth to this: secular knowledge and spiritual knowledge are not opposites. Study carefully the books of Moses in the Pearl of Great Price and then take do some research into the most widely accepted theories of how the universe came to be...the Pearl of Great Price is nothing short of prophetic.

The works and glory of God have no begining and no end. Love, honor, truth, sacrifice, families - there is no beginning and there is no end, all are eternal and are part of God's glory. Christ's infinite antonement made it possible for us to be a part of this plan. "Heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ."
regardless of your personal beliefs, it's still a hymn, christian as well but none of that dissuades from the beauty of it. This version is amazing imo
The Mormon belief in Christ's absolute conquer over death and how it applies in the eternities to families has to be one of the most beautiful theological teachings of any religion anywhere. That and (of course) the Mormon belief that all men, women, and children everywhere are literal children of diety and have truly divine potential within them. Beautiful.
This is such a mystifying hymn! Have any of you read abraham 3? its so amazing and deep. This song touches uncomprehendable things that make you think. I could just sit for hours pondering the words or this song and the scriptures that inspired it!
