Yes man, please show us more. You split the chapters anyway into smaller parts (which makes sense), so why not showing Ch. 5-2 only up to the truck part? I long to see it.

I do try and have tried a lot of different strategies but the tricky thing is that enemies do not behave the same twice. That's why you need a lot of luck in order to finish this chapter. Everything must go your way.
@KaiWii since I dont really know how many healing items you have, couldn't you just use 3/4 of them and rush through this? it's surely not that easy but do you get fucked up that easy?

@KaiWii I hope you get to do it one day. Keep trying, I quit when I found that beating the armors with just a knife was too much of a challenge for me.
@KaiWii what exactly is the difficult part of 5-2. Is it the part where you have to stop those guys from killing ashley while you hit the switch or is it just the number of enemies?

I've finished the first two trucks many times on various tries, but the third one is unfortunately the hardest. You have less time with that truck and you need to turn away from the enemies at exactly the right moment.
haah thanks to your videos I already finished the game with only kinife and I MADE IT TROUGH THE GAME WIHT 100% HIT RATIO . . THAT MEANS THAT I DID'NT USE GUNS BUT ONLY WITH SALAZAR xDD'
and its very easy trough the last level. .you just need to equip your inventory with about 11 explosive granades and you'll make it ;) and i'll mention that I'm mexican . . I dont have a camare to film myself to you to belive me but is true ;)
and thats all. .and only one thing. i didn't use yellow herb ;)

You cant even do a Knife Run on RE4 because some parts require the handgun, so technically, its not a knife run. Its the same with Code Veronica because you need to use the Linear Launcher.

I'm gonna let you guess which of these two theories I favour most.
Actually, I'm extremely stubborn. So yes, I've been trying every week for a few years (with very few exceptions) and still not succeeded! Every try takes around 7-8 minutes, and I play this for around two hours every Sunday. You could probably say I do around 15 attempts each week.
That's right, but they require seven bullets each (because the handgun isn't upgraded) and there's very little time to shoot them before they crash into you. The problem is that you need to get rid of enemies around you exactly when the trucks arrive. Sometimes I finish the first two, but the third (and last) one is even more difficult because you have even less time to take care of it.

I understand that you gave up and want to be afraid of being considered a pussy for quitting, but for god's sake, let's face it you'll never post the next video everyone wanted, and are just letting the time do its job so no more people ask you for something you'll never pull out!!!
There's no glitch to that, but the eye comes close enough to knife it actually. Of course, you still have to shoot Salazar's ugly mug, there's no way you can knife that.
Kai, if you don't want to continue this run which im sure must be extremely difficult, then you only need to say so. Otherwise we understand that you could either be bored of doing it, after all it is a game which was released a while ago and that you're interested in other projects. Or that you may have encountered problems and that the game really is that hard, after all you are trying to beat it with just a knife! Therefore if you have simply given up then no problem. I had fun watching them.
I play this challenge every Sunday for like 3-5 hours. I get to the last truck at least once every Sunday now, and some day I'm going to get past that truck. You need a little luck and that everything is going your way.

krauser is a piece of cake even for those of us who aren't skilled enough like KaiWii to do a knife run. You just dodge his attacks then slash him...there are other videos on youtube showing how it's done.
Well, you face about 3 regenerators at the waste disposal plus two armored enemies and a butt-load of normal enemies when breaking down the door with the boulder. Two regenerators once more then you do the car part which is the worst.
To be honest, I don't think it's possible to get past the bolldozer part with just using the knife, however, if you are able to do it then power to you.

The bad thing about this knife run is...it's false. On the Salazar fight, you can use the knife to slash his tentacle eye because it moves very close to you at times. I used the handgun here.
It doesn't feel very good but there's nothing I can do about it now.
Sorry for these horrible breaks. I've been extremely busy with my work the latest one and a half years, but from now on I'll play this challenge every Sunday.
With these rules (starting from the beginning of the chapter whenever you die) chapter 5-2 is almost impossible for a non-freak like me. I'll keep trying once a week now (several hours each time of course) and one day... that video will be up.
good luck on the bulldozer part that part has got to be the hardest for the knife. ALso good luck with u3 i dont know how you can possibly beat U3 with a knife but i know you can do it.
I'm once again very sorry for not uploading any movies. I think most people who originally followed this knife run has quit following it, because several years has passed. Have I quit? No.
I'm still at it, although my work takes up a great deal of time. And chapter 5-2 is the hardest chapter in the game. And there are a lot of other games to play.
But it's my responsibility to finish this run because I promised. It takes a lot of time, but I'll never quit this run untill I finish it
I've watched all the movies and is exited to se the final end of the game, really amazing gameplay.
I've played RE4 (Wii Edition though) alot myself, the pro mode is really easy after clearing the game 5 times, hehe. So I'm using the knife quite a bit now.
The goal of this walkthrough is not to kill everyone, it is to complete the game using only the knife and the pistole where the knife is unusable. And I'm sure even you can't do that, as it takes real skills to clear some parts with just a melee weapon. Watch all of Kaiwii's videos, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I completed it with the Knife like he did, Pro mode.
And one of the times I remember infinite spawning enemies was the room with the lava in the center (Where you have to use the wrecking ball) and also in the pit where Salazar throws you if you get hit with a tentacle. Infinite plagas.
Well sorry, that's not true. I dis a run myself to kill as many Ganados as possible and there wasn't NOT A SINGLE SPOT were they respawned infinitely. I got 1032 kills, and could be 2 more (I forgot the 2 ganados in the bridge after the first rock, before you meet Sera for the first time)

For anyone complaining about KaiWii not uploading videos--lets see you get past the 5-2 bulldozer ride, using just the knife for the ganados and the handgun for the trucks.
It doesn't mean you'll believe me, but I've done it...after 13 tries and some herbs. In my knife run I reached till knights battle (wich I think it's impossible, I still can't believe he did it xDD), so I had to buy the first handgun and all my weapons to try that part. But the most hard part is to do the ENTIRE espisode without dying (the ball in the lava pool, 3 Iron Maidens, bulldozer) I'm sure it's quite difficult.

You can't find more bullets?! In this game? Are you sure you are playing RE4? xDD. Come on, try it hard, is impossible to get rid ALL the ammo here. You should use TMP, it seems you need many advantages to play.
Well, if you are afraid of being close to 5 enemies when one has been shot in his head to do a kick then, yes, you need to conserve.
TIP: 5-10 ENEMIES together, shoot the first one in his head, get closer, kick, when everyone is down, knife them. This way I can finish the game without using any sniper ammo nor TMP ammo. You must know the location of the enemies though.
Really? I upgraded three guns and at the end of the bulldozer ride I was out of ammo. So against the iron maiden I ran out, and didn't get any new ammo any time soon.

There is a another way to knife the salazar eye without use the ditman glitch
Just put "0% hit rate salazar" and you will find.

krauser is a piece of cake even for those of us who aren't skilled enough like KaiWii to do a knife run. You just dodge his attacks then slash him...there are other videos on youtube showing how it's done.

Well, you face about 3 regenerators at the waste disposal plus two armored enemies and a butt-load of normal enemies when breaking down the door with the boulder. Two regenerators once more then you do the car part which is the worst.

The bad thing about this knife run is...it's false. On the Salazar fight, you can use the knife to slash his tentacle eye because it moves very close to you at times. I used the handgun here.
It doesn't feel very good but there's nothing I can do about it now.

Dear all,
Sorry for these horrible breaks. I've been extremely busy with my work the latest one and a half years, but from now on I'll play this challenge every Sunday.
With these rules (starting from the beginning of the chapter whenever you die) chapter 5-2 is almost impossible for a non-freak like me. I'll keep trying once a week now (several hours each time of course) and one day... that video will be up.

Dear all,
I'm once again very sorry for not uploading any movies. I think most people who originally followed this knife run has quit following it, because several years has passed. Have I quit? No.
I'm still at it, although my work takes up a great deal of time. And chapter 5-2 is the hardest chapter in the game. And there are a lot of other games to play.
But it's my responsibility to finish this run because I promised. It takes a lot of time, but I'll never quit this run untill I finish it

I've watched all the movies and is exited to se the final end of the game, really amazing gameplay.
I've played RE4 (Wii Edition though) alot myself, the pro mode is really easy after clearing the game 5 times, hehe. So I'm using the knife quite a bit now.

The goal of this walkthrough is not to kill everyone, it is to complete the game using only the knife and the pistole where the knife is unusable. And I'm sure even you can't do that, as it takes real skills to clear some parts with just a melee weapon. Watch all of Kaiwii's videos, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

PS: I can't remember if there are places where the enemies keep respawning indefinitely.

I completed it with the Knife like he did, Pro mode.
And one of the times I remember infinite spawning enemies was the room with the lava in the center (Where you have to use the wrecking ball) and also in the pit where Salazar throws you if you get hit with a tentacle. Infinite plagas.

Well sorry, that's not true. I dis a run myself to kill as many Ganados as possible and there wasn't NOT A SINGLE SPOT were they respawned infinitely. I got 1032 kills, and could be 2 more (I forgot the 2 ganados in the bridge after the first rock, before you meet Sera for the first time)

It doesn't mean you'll believe me, but I've done it...after 13 tries and some herbs. In my knife run I reached till knights battle (wich I think it's impossible, I still can't believe he did it xDD), so I had to buy the first handgun and all my weapons to try that part. But the most hard part is to do the ENTIRE espisode without dying (the ball in the lava pool, 3 Iron Maidens, bulldozer) I'm sure it's quite difficult.

Anyway, Just run as fast as you can.

Well, if you are afraid of being close to 5 enemies when one has been shot in his head to do a kick then, yes, you need to conserve.
TIP: 5-10 ENEMIES together, shoot the first one in his head, get closer, kick, when everyone is down, knife them. This way I can finish the game without using any sniper ammo nor TMP ammo. You must know the location of the enemies though.

ah, and enemies drop more ammo when you are out of ammo. So it's just IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of ammo more than 5 minutes.

Really? I upgraded three guns and at the end of the bulldozer ride I was out of ammo. So against the iron maiden I ran out, and didn't get any new ammo any time soon.
