you mean the best handling of all? and then comes 207 rc which is different. Seriously there is no autobahn everywhere. Yes corsa propably has the best top speed of all. Sill cooper and 207 accelerate faster on high speeds and offcourse they turn over bends better. Plus they do have better breaks. Also the corsa has by far the worst steering wheel but a good imo and fast gear lever. I also like the blue breaks and its appearance in black. Best seats offcourse. For me its cooper>207>corsa
it was developped yes but the set up is all opel. Still they did finally did a good work for OPC badge. Corsa is a good handling car if you know they way to drive it (which means you have to be carefull with power and be friendly to the ultra fast steering wheel) Still they cant confront french concerning suspension. They do one thing good but they do it GOOOOOOD!!!:) And offcourse mini is a BMW child... respect for that brand really

All i can say for now is that i've been to the most decent and more than decent cars of this category. By turistic you mean the least stiff suspension? I agree. It's a car made to eventually understeer and that's not always bad. Anyway i still think that it's the way you drive the car (especially when the ESP can be deactivated) and if you drive the corsa abit under it's limit it can go fast
i dont know why a hardcore car like abarth has non-disengagable esp. Even if its a very good ESP, its still an esp.. About engine i want to say that its very very powerfull. But its weak below 2.5k rpm, there is no point using it after 5k rpm and after 6 up to limiter its a dead motor. Breaks are the best of all those 4 though. I would go for 207 RC but also like abarth and OPC very much. About 207 RC i heard that the very good new pug speed(from 308GT) is gonna replace the current bad 5speed

I think mini cooper is perfect except from practical matters which i dont mind. But seats could abit sportier.. But in greece its very expensive. 207 is a very good car and i cant find any negatives actually cause its very well balanced perfect engine and very good practicality in everyday life. About corsa OPC i want to say that breaks should be better. A new contender in this category is Abarth SS. I deny it because of its bad engine(powerfull though) and non-disengeagable ESP
Actually Corsa in most tests performs a 7.2 for 0-100km/h , but that is not the point. It is a very beautifull and well build hot hatch, but it lacks steering feedback, gas pedal lacks accuracy and in 17 inch wheels it suffers from understeer. That is why the cooper s which has the best steering, with an electronic (optional) Lsd has the sharpest cornering, and is faster thanks to an awarded engine in it's class. Last,it has a competitive price among other cars at least in Germany.
steering feedback for cars like corsa OPC is essential. I think that the car suffers from understeer in 18s in all medium quality roads, if not in german roads too. You would have to oversteer to avoid that indeed. But with the very bad steering of corsa its very dangerous to oversteer because you cant notice when the back wheels start to roll. Also with the pedal being not accurate enough is difficult handle your power delivery to avoid your turbo lag wheelspins. Imo corsa opc lacks precision
Even if I can't beleve the Corsa OPC does 0-60 in "7.6sec" because Ultimatecarpage says 6.8 sec, and maybe could do it faster, anyways, I don't beleve this tests at all, even if they were true, just the hot details and the German quality, I'd take OPC.
i heard clio beats simple abarth only by 1 sec in balocco. This means SS will beat RS in this track. I dont know if i believe it but im willing to do so. New italians hot hatches will be great i think
i dont know i think it was not tested by the magazine.. Also i would like to tell you that MiTo and simple Abarth were faster than corsa OPC in the track. Mini cooper and 207 rc were not tested and mito also was 1 sec faster than the clio RS in balocco. I dont know if that's accurate but it can be if the clio driver was gay:) Cheers to all. Dont buy the Corsa OPC cause the only sporty thing that has is its engine. Breaks are not durable and supsension is too soft under pressure. Looks also suck!

I was looking for a hot hatch and test drove them, too. The Opels handling is quite bad, having massive understeer and the brakes fade. The Peugeot is but heavier than the Mini and the gearbox is not as good as the ones in the Opel or the Mini.
I ordered a Mini for following reasons: Best gearbox, lighter than the Peugeot, handles better than both the Opel and the Peugeot and is actually cheaper to run than the others, as it has a lot less depriciation and does better MPG than the others.
i agree with undertakerch: i am a german myself, and i think many of these tests are not always fair, i think the peugeot 207 rc is the clear winner here! PS: Opel is not really a german car, its more a multinational car company since after world war 2

In result u cant handle the car that good. 207 is the not the most informative steering but you can get the informations you want from the suspension. Also the breaks feel better. Well the bad with 207 is the sucky gearbox yes i admit it. But while not being that accurate as corsa's it has better escalation even with 5 gears..
Clio is 1300kg and N/A. Cooper is 1100kg and turbocharged. Also cooper s has more BHP than mini announces. Cooper is much faster in straight line there is no doubt about that. So, this automatically means that clio has much better chassis. And this sounds logical because clio's suspension is just great.
also the thing about quality, i don't know if you are a car expert, i am not, so i trust what the magazines and internet say, that the corsa has better quality.the peugeot looks rather empty in the interior and poor on the outside without anything but the exhaust,the mirrors and the pedals telling you that this is an rc. i preferred the 206rc and even better the 205. i think the 207 is a disgrace for peugeot.
About quality both cars are equal. About looks, personally i prefer the most distinctive that PUG gives to its model. Corsa is just "too much" It looks like a racing car. But ok i will agree with you that 207 may be much more distinctive than needed. Still better for me than the ULTRA-RACING look of OPC. What the hell it looks like a 500 bhp monsta:P
Hard and unconfortable seats!(there is a little profile line that comes out at the middle of your head so you to don't know which side to choose to put your head)
Overall finishing seems to be forgotten for the "racing" factor (everything is in plastic)

I can give you that. Corsa seemed faster in accelerations from 0 but pug seemed faster in accelerations from >0. In straight line those cars seem to be the same. But here comes the great difference: While corsa being very fast and accurate at open road and open turns it cant even approach 207 performance at more tight turns. I can accept it has fast steering but its not any informative.
*207 RC: + Agressive sound at low torque! Overall design in the car! Acceleration! Racing seats behind and in front (excellent holding and comfortable) Roadholding Sensation of security - No agressive sound of engine at high torque 5 Gear box
I made some runs with my 207 rc against the cooper S and the cooper remaind far behind...I don't know why but I'm feeling a bit stupid while seing this video and seeing my car at the last place as it beats a cooper S... ^o)

Hab damals den Peugeot gefahren und den Opel! Habe mich für den Opel entschieden. Der Peugeot hat butterweiche Oma-Sitze. Total langweilige Optik für einen Sportler und die Kiste schwankt wie ein Gummiboot. Zu dem Mini kann ich aber nichts sagen!

you mean the best handling of all? and then comes 207 rc which is different. Seriously there is no autobahn everywhere. Yes corsa propably has the best top speed of all. Sill cooper and 207 accelerate faster on high speeds and offcourse they turn over bends better. Plus they do have better breaks. Also the corsa has by far the worst steering wheel but a good imo and fast gear lever. I also like the blue breaks and its appearance in black. Best seats offcourse. For me its cooper>207>corsa

it was developped yes but the set up is all opel. Still they did finally did a good work for OPC badge. Corsa is a good handling car if you know they way to drive it (which means you have to be carefull with power and be friendly to the ultra fast steering wheel) Still they cant confront french concerning suspension. They do one thing good but they do it GOOOOOOD!!!:) And offcourse mini is a BMW child... respect for that brand really

All i can say for now is that i've been to the most decent and more than decent cars of this category. By turistic you mean the least stiff suspension? I agree. It's a car made to eventually understeer and that's not always bad. Anyway i still think that it's the way you drive the car (especially when the ESP can be deactivated) and if you drive the corsa abit under it's limit it can go fast

i dont know why a hardcore car like abarth has non-disengagable esp. Even if its a very good ESP, its still an esp.. About engine i want to say that its very very powerfull. But its weak below 2.5k rpm, there is no point using it after 5k rpm and after 6 up to limiter its a dead motor. Breaks are the best of all those 4 though. I would go for 207 RC but also like abarth and OPC very much. About 207 RC i heard that the very good new pug speed(from 308GT) is gonna replace the current bad 5speed

I dont know what are you talking about. I saw a CC car though that is supposed to come out in the future from abarth. Maybe its the same.. I also know that Fiat is constructing a new engine 1.8T. I think mini cooper is perfect except from practical matters which i dont mind. But seats could abit sportier.. But in greece its very expensive. 207 is a very good car and i cant find any negatives actually cause its very well balanced perfect engine and very good practicality in everyday life. About corsa OPC i want to say that breaks should be better. A new contender in this category is Abarth SS. I deny it because of its bad engine(powerfull though) and non-disengeagable ESP

Actually Corsa in most tests performs a 7.2 for 0-100km/h , but that is not the point. It is a very beautifull and well build hot hatch, but it lacks steering feedback, gas pedal lacks accuracy and in 17 inch wheels it suffers from understeer. That is why the cooper s which has the best steering, with an electronic (optional) Lsd has the sharpest cornering, and is faster thanks to an awarded engine in it's class. Last,it has a competitive price among other cars at least in Germany.

steering feedback for cars like corsa OPC is essential. I think that the car suffers from understeer in 18s in all medium quality roads, if not in german roads too. You would have to oversteer to avoid that indeed. But with the very bad steering of corsa its very dangerous to oversteer because you cant notice when the back wheels start to roll. Also with the pedal being not accurate enough is difficult handle your power delivery to avoid your turbo lag wheelspins. Imo corsa opc lacks precision

Even if I can't beleve the Corsa OPC does 0-60 in "7.6sec" because Ultimatecarpage says 6.8 sec, and maybe could do it faster, anyways, I don't beleve this tests at all, even if they were true, just the hot details and the German quality, I'd take OPC.

i dont know i think it was not tested by the magazine.. Also i would like to tell you that MiTo and simple Abarth were faster than corsa OPC in the track. Mini cooper and 207 rc were not tested and mito also was 1 sec faster than the clio RS in balocco. I dont know if that's accurate but it can be if the clio driver was gay:) Cheers to all. Dont buy the Corsa OPC cause the only sporty thing that has is its engine. Breaks are not durable and supsension is too soft under pressure. Looks also suck!

I was looking for a hot hatch and test drove them, too. The Opels handling is quite bad, having massive understeer and the brakes fade. The Peugeot is but heavier than the Mini and the gearbox is not as good as the ones in the Opel or the Mini.
I ordered a Mini for following reasons: Best gearbox, lighter than the Peugeot, handles better than both the Opel and the Peugeot and is actually cheaper to run than the others, as it has a lot less depriciation and does better MPG than the others.

In result u cant handle the car that good. 207 is the not the most informative steering but you can get the informations you want from the suspension. Also the breaks feel better. Well the bad with 207 is the sucky gearbox yes i admit it. But while not being that accurate as corsa's it has better escalation even with 5 gears..

Clio is 1300kg and N/A. Cooper is 1100kg and turbocharged. Also cooper s has more BHP than mini announces. Cooper is much faster in straight line there is no doubt about that. So, this automatically means that clio has much better chassis. And this sounds logical because clio's suspension is just great.

also the thing about quality, i don't know if you are a car expert, i am not, so i trust what the magazines and internet say, that the corsa has better quality.the peugeot looks rather empty in the interior and poor on the outside without anything but the exhaust,the mirrors and the pedals telling you that this is an rc. i preferred the 206rc and even better the 205. i think the 207 is a disgrace for peugeot.

About quality both cars are equal. About looks, personally i prefer the most distinctive that PUG gives to its model. Corsa is just "too much" It looks like a racing car. But ok i will agree with you that 207 may be much more distinctive than needed. Still better for me than the ULTRA-RACING look of OPC. What the hell it looks like a 500 bhp monsta:P

Hard and unconfortable seats!(there is a little profile line that comes out at the middle of your head so you to don't know which side to choose to put your head)
Overall finishing seems to be forgotten for the "racing" factor (everything is in plastic)
The gearing pedal is a desaster (you seem to have nothing under your foot)

m8 jeremy clarkson and tiff needel claim that corsa has the best seats->recaro!!!which car has racing seats behind??which car in this category hasn't everything in plastic?besides the cooper s.don't forget the opc is 4000$ cheaper that the cooper and clio!peugeuot sucks is the worst by far.

I dont know if peugeot is shitty but its by far better than corsa. Dont tell me about quality. Interior has quality inside outside and BMW engine... Also it has great chassis something that corsa hasn't. Well if bucket seats is your primary reason you believe corsa is better i can tell you safely that corsa's buckets are too uncomfortable and 207's are ok also being the same effective as corsa's.

have you driven the corsa m8?i happen to own it and have done 600 km in one day(6400 in total).believe me the recaro seats are very comfortable.i disagree about the 207.if you claimed that the 206rc was great i would support you,but all the magazines (auto motor and sport,car,evo,car&driver,drive) say that the corsa is better,far better.

Well to be honest i dont know what to say about the seats. I dont own any of those 2 cars but ive driven both. Pug's just feeled more comfortable. Anyways with the same logic have u driven 207? If not you cant tell it sux just by reading magazine reviews etc. And to be honest i havent read any magazine saying that..

I can give you that. Corsa seemed faster in accelerations from 0 but pug seemed faster in accelerations from >0. In straight line those cars seem to be the same. But here comes the great difference: While corsa being very fast and accurate at open road and open turns it cant even approach 207 performance at more tight turns. I can accept it has fast steering but its not any informative.

207 RC is damned fast and great handling.
Now the look is fine...could have been better.
I have a C3RS and it was hard to choose between RC and RS...
But what an engine for RS after 52500RPM..
RC goes alike HDI with engine..no really nice sound

I made some runs with my 207 rc against the cooper S and the cooper remaind far behind...I don't know why but I'm feeling a bit stupid while seing this video and seeing my car at the last place as it beats a cooper S... ^o)

to be honest i just realised that every hot hatch that pug has ever released was great. So 207 can only be great too:) After a review i read comparing opc to 207 i think that 207 is better now

well i think that rc is tooooo much underated here. First of all the seats are just fine omg at least 100 times better than the the mini's where is the problem? Second of all it does have the best break system and the chassis is great its french how it couldnt be? anyways i have to admit that the cooper is the best of those 3 but corsa's handling is not that good. But also its faster than on this video. I think its cooper>rc>opc

LOL This video is crap,they didn't even used Corsa's overboost..Corsa is way better than the Mini at performance,read some books and magazines,don't comment just by watching a video..And also Corsa is the lightest and has the strongest engine.. Ever wondered 0-100 and 0-160 tests? Corsa reaches 100 in 6.9 secs where Cooper S does it 7.1 , and Corsa reaches 160 in 21.8 where Cooper gets to it in 22.4 secs..Do not just say Corsa sucks because it's not famous or new...It's the king of hatches...
