@skylord081 Erik uses various tunings. This is why if you try to replicate what you see here in standard tuning (EADGBE) you're not going to get what he gets. You're just going to get a clusterfuck of notes that don't work together.

I agree and disagree with you at the same time. where Erik's technique is sublime and unsurpassed and his melody is both beautiful and complex, Andy McKee is much more well known due to videos such as drifting, but that doesnt mean his playing is any less brilliant and it is a lot more accessible to people who dont necessarily listen to solo acoustic guitar pieces. It's just a matter of taste i guess!

I'd compare Erik to Dufour more than Mckee.  My preference goes Dufour > Mongrain > Mckee. They're all equally good guitarists though, from a technical point of view. They just have their own styles.
