whats shitty bout this is if a woman apply s or a minority they get the job because of there race due to affirmative action even tho there less qualified so as white men we get whats left over when it comes to this they do affirmative action to help out minorities because they cant do it on there own and there strict qualificaitons weeds alot of them out
Discipline and command presence is what keeps you alive on the street. It must be instilled at the academy. Many convicted cop killers have stated they killed the cop because of his/her appearance...sloppy or not focused and they knew they could kill them before the officer would react. The NCHP is one of the most respected law enforcement agaencies in the country. I don't live in NC anymore, but I met many a trooper when I served I the Marine Corps , and they have my respect now that I'm a cop.
Psychopathic behavior is now common among police, especially those who are closet drunks and/or drug dependent. Studies show that up to 40% of police families suffer both emotional and physical abuse--much of which is never reported by the family members who live in a state of fear and uncertainty. Such families are often quite relieved when the cop in the family dies or is killed. It is heartening to seem how many of them are happy for the first time once the problem is dead and gone.
Ok Dr Brainscan, I don't put much faith in "studies". I have been a cop for 10 years and I grew up in a cop family where my father was a cop. I knew nothing but love and caring. My father has been dead 9 years, and my mother stills cries for him. I now have a family of my own and I don't drink or do drugs. No matter how stressful my job is, I don't take it out on my family. The cops that I work with are some of the most dedicated and professional people I have ever met.
There were 132 officers killed in the line of duty in 2008, and 188 killed in 2007. So why don't you conduct another study and go ask those families if they are happy that their loved one is never coming home. Do you have to worry about going to work and never coming home to see your wife and kids again? Well, I do and so do the other 2 millions law enforcment officers in this country.
i really want to be state trooper i agree people judge to quickle just cause 2 or 3 cops fucked up doesnt mean that others arnt good at what they do keep up the good work stay safe

I have a question for you Dr. Brainscan how do you know that 40 % of police families suffer if they do not report it out of fear. Just wondering.
