No,men and women have different rights in Islam because naturally women and men are two different creations of God. Even the doctors would tell you that they have they're own weaknesses and strengths. Women are never equal to men. Yes women are not allowed to drive in KSA but that doesn't mean it's a symbol of opression. It brings way more goodness than bad but then again, you don't blame the religion for the improper conduct of their people, instead you should read what the faith teaches.

That is not true. Women have rights in Islam just depends on how you define "RIGHTS". Muslim women are allowed to choose who they want to marry, they are allowed to put up their own business, spend their own money etc. Please do not forget that Indonesia and Malaysia is also a Muslim country and their women are not oppressed.
