It seemed like Tony was legitimately pissed (as in angry, lol) at the end of party quirks.... the way he shoved Ryan away, the way he ripped the card out of Clive's hand, etc. Oh well, the man was hilarious in this show and it's great that he got over his issues in the end.
...and it was never censored in America. I guess the censors were asleep when they did this episode; it's in the background, but still not hard to notice...
The expression and sound that Colin made when he took a sip of the beverage and how well it fit in the song was what made me fell off m chair in laughter.
I cant stop watching that part near the beginning where colin is making a funny face and clive says "stop doing your pop-eye impression" and colin just pulls a mean face LOL
I never thought "matrimony" could be used in a song (well, save for ABBA's "People Need Love"), but Colin did really well with that lyric on this occasion
Sadly this was also Tony Slattery's final episode. We can see here that he doesn't look at all well, mainly due to alcohol and drug abuse. He has since been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
After one of his best ever shows, this was also Mike McShane's last show (compilations excepted) for about a year, reappearing with Brad Sherwood in 9x03.
This is one of the funniest Bar Scenes ever - it's up there with Jane Brucker singing to Chip Esten about being dumped by Clive, Tony singing to Mike about being in love with him and Greg Proops singing to Niall Ashdown about losing his virginity to Clive.
Also check out 6x04 - (to Mike) Ryan annoyed with his wardrobe and Tony in love with pigs; 6x05 - (to Josie) Ryan in love with teddy bears and Tony angry about his middle name and 6x08 - (to Chip) Greg trying to forget about his tax return, Ryan in love with dogs and Tony angry about his jacket.
lol yeah then you hear Clive peeing himself laughing in the background lol I honestly, truly believe that Colin and Ryan are the best comedy duos of our generation.
I must be one of the few americans who knows who Mrs. Slocam is.

"Tony's in love with something, or someone" HIMSELF!
I always hear that, and not surprised at all.

2:30 When Tony gets the right tone and pitch, his singing voice is some of the best singing Whose Line gave.

Is it just me, or did I hear Mike shout "Hey! Pay for your fucking drink!"?

Not just you. That's actually what he says.

@SormaNo3 From what I know, British TV censors sleep at 9pm and wake up at 5am.

I did see him having trouble in Party Quirks when he couldn't figure out Ryan's, which seemed simple as well as Mike's. Poor guy, I hope he's better.
RainyDay1010 3 years ago 10
He's back in acting now. He plays Sidney Snell in ITV1 drama Kingdom alongside Stephen Fry.

The Tony in love with Mike one is 5x07
And the Greg/Niall episode is 8x05

Would you happen to have '7x11' ?
(That is assuming I'm understanding you numbering right).
Film & Theatre Styles - CQ, TS - Thunderbirds (CQ hits TS, TS grabs CQ's chest, CQ grabs TS's groin).
NaitoMitsukai 3 years ago
Sorma has just about all of them. If you click on sorma's name, view all 458 videos, page 3 (I believe) episode 7x11 is there. Hope that helps :)

That was SUPERIO creepy. Just before Ryan said "Her name is Roy" I was just thinking of the name Roy. Scary...
