Totally agree. I was so disappointed in You and Me, I was like what happened? I guess a lot of bands have a hard time matching their best work. However, seems like they completely changed their sound to a more popular/mainstream sound.

Yes. You and Me is a better album though, even though they are 2 different styles and is barely comparable. Their new drummer came from one of the sickest bands yet, Shiner, and really brought a fresh perspective to Open Hand. But Alex was a very good drummer, technically and through skill, but there's more than that I think...
