UPS Damaged My New HDTV!

That HDTV looks a lot smaller than 32" (23-26"?) to me, and you paid $400? I'd just prefer to go to a retail store and buy it myself.

There are many reason that the parcels get damage:

1. Abusive handling

2. Box get crush by many other boxes on the conveyor belts and slides

3. Loaders load the box by putting heavy box on top of a small, light box

4. When the long trailer (big rig) is backing into the loading dock while the door is open, boxes sometime fall off from the trailer and get crush between the dock and the trailer. The driver can't see behind due to alot of blind spots.

The only thing you can do is to pay the extra dime to insure every parcel you get!! Most of the time items are damaged because the mailers aren't packing the items properly.

Lately, there was a tornado in my area, and of all things it overturned the vehicle that was being used to deliver my item, crushing it in the process.

As a UPS driver, I can only say that I think it's insane people ship flat screen TVs through UPS! Still... it seems to work. Kudos to the packer for doing their part.

You know the pkgs goes to a lot of 'abuse' in the UPS Hubs, so it all comes down to a correct packaging from the shipper of this package (Y)
