  • Coheed and cambria rull

  • Well I actually like the intro alot better than the album version, but the other extensions seem unneccessary.

  • This version is actually better than the album version in my opinion, having the extended intro just makes it seet cooler

  • happy birthday year of the black rainbow

  • April 9??? Gunna be there.!!!!! Will You?

  • 4 people need broken... Into tiny little pieces.

  • The new album is alright, but it never will hold a candle to the first three.

  • I always pictured Coheed and Cambria women singers because of their voices until I saw the Running Free video. Not a very masculine type group of singers, o well. Anybody else ever thought the same idea?

  • @Paparoachfanalways Claudio is more masculine than three whole people. He just sings higher than the other singers.

  • @Paparoachfanalways no your just a stupid papa roach fan... their real successful ha... it sounds absolutely nothing like a women... its called having a good range of notes he can hit.. dont be an ignorant piece... also if you thought they were very masculin why the fuck are you commenting on this page you stupid hating piece of shit... stop being such a negative bitch tits...

  • @Paparoachfanalways Id love to cover you in spaghetti right now for such an egregious comment against Claudio

  • @Paparoachfanalways Papa roach sucks

  • @Paparoachfanalways You like Papa Roach. Your argument is invalid.

  • @RandomJackOfDoom GUYS!!! Coheed and Cambria is my favourite band, and i also like Papa Roach, There are many music genres our there and a lot of people like different ones. I love prog, Nu Metal and well Roaches new stuff is more rock but I love that too!

  • @Paparoachfanalways your a fag

  • @Paparoachfanalways Claudio is just amazing!! He's great singer, songwriter and guitar player...and if u didn't already know there is ALSO women singing on the album Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, volume 2: No World For Tomorrow...and I don't like Papa roach at all but forget it..

  • meh

  • The cover is the other half of transatlanticism by death cab for cutie xD

  • okay, get ready to hate me...i try and try to like this band because of chris pennie, but i just can't... pretentious, whiny, uninspired bullshit...chris pennie's talents are wasted...

  • @nykaza1

    k

  • @nykaza1

listen to The Final Cut and tell me its uninspired bullshit and btw if chris pennie needed your advice he'd leave COCA, im under the impression he's happy there creating sucessful music

  • @nykaza1

you are just an ignorant little bitch.

  • All right, so I made a comment a few months back bashing this song. I've been a fan of C&C since SSTB came out, and it's still my favorite C&C album, along with IKSS:3 and GA1. There's a certain feel to those albums. Actual reference to storyline events, characters and themes that appear across all three albums. C&C dropped all this with NWFT and YOTBR. The lyrics are extremely vague, make no reference to anything, and GA1 is still the most progressive album they've made. I stand by what I said.

  • I really thought I wasn't going to like Coheed's new stuff. But boy was I wrong. It grew on me fast.

  • @ChocolateMuffinFtw

Doesn;t that happen for each album?

  • I think my favorite thing about the song is the fact that solo hints at Ring in Return. That made my day when I noticed that.

  • Love the odd progression of the vocals starting at 3:07

  • i just saw them live on the 24th they opened sooo hard with this song and it was was just orgasmic fucking coheed is the shyt and will always be my fave band

  • i suddenly feel like i'm listening to this with new ears, as is often the case with this band. i hear something, i think eh. I listen to it in some hightened state of awareness and it suddenly winks at me and shines in a whole new light. this song is very profound in its message and puts across this helpless emotion so artistically and universally. pray for the broken, fuck yes.

  • @strumr91 Yea when i listen or watch stuff in " A hightened state of awarness" i usally hear or see things in a different light 2..

  • always, always i thought they are faggots. but this is sooo awsome. vocs, remind me of darryl palumbo in head automatica a little.

  • This album is fantastic, It's probably the best i've ever heard in 2010!

  • @AlienSkateboarder option paralysis

  • I LOVE THIS BAND IT KIKS DICK PERIOD

  • cant wait to buy this album :D

  • Peeeeeeeeeeenis.

  • ehh its okay.

  • jsut want ot coheed is the best band ever

  • there a band called reason to rebel 50 time time beter

  • Not too sure about this one. I don't think I see the Coheed formula in here. It still has the Coheed sound, with a heavier overtone. But it feels a bit narrow compared to the previouse stuff. I hope I just missed it, or at least the other new ones don't give me that feeling.

Maybe its just the change in style I hear because I just got done listening to the Neverender DVD thingy.

  • If you don't like Coheed and Cambria you can get out. Pussy jock frat boy. Thank you for giving Coheed 5 minutes of your life by watching this.

  • @patientbass your a tool

  • aazing music these guys put up

  • im so excited for this album. i pre ordered the box set as soon as i heard it was being released.

  • in my oppinion, Coheed's albums have been getting better throughout the years, so going on that, this next one will be apocalypticly fantastic!!!

  • It is like Second Stage Turbine Blade made a baby with No World For Tomorrow, and let it be raised by Good Apollo.

  • and I thought they couldn't sell out more. Yikes.

  • coheed and cambria are prog rock. Their sound will ALWAYS evolve and change. Now go jack off to some Shabutie, some Godfathers Lollypop or something.;)BTW i thought it sounded "selloutie" till i saw vids of these new songs live. its sounds much better and of course not overproduced.

  • @cloudpony1 They are NOT progrock, haha. They are mainstream verse/chorus/verse with epic, high-flying appeal. Don't get me wrong, love Coheed, but they are NOT progrock.

  • @UsedBlues Then what is Rush? They have many songs that follow the "mainstream" model of verse chorus ect. But they ARE prog, and so is Coheed. There are some CoCa songs that fit the so called"mainstream" song structure, but there are also many that are different, both in overall sound and structure. You can argue all you want, but Coheed IS prog.Ask that bongo drummer at Neverender, and he is a professional percussionist.

  • @UsedBlues The Willing Well II: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness

Changes songs in the middle of a song as much as a King Crimson album lol.

  • @cloudRush was progressive for their time, if they were to start in this era they would no longer be considered "progressive". Coheed is very similar to Rush in structure/sound/ideas, but this basis is no longer progressive. This sound is now! It is mainstream. This is not progressive rock, they are not ahead of the curve, they are not pioneers! Progressive doesnt entail just change in sound, but actual carving of the music totem pole. With the exception of Claudios vocals, they are not unique.

  • @UB I've heard alot of definitions of what "progressive" actually is. By your definition Dream Theater is not, and never was "progressive". Thier music is awesome, complex, epic, conceptual,& changes timing(hmm, sounds like Coheed)but they simply built on what bands like Iron Maiden were doing, but they are progressive, and have been for decades. We can agree to disagree because you do like Coheed. As long as you do not try to convince me that they are Emo then we are cool.

  • @cloudpony1 You're right, I would not consider Dream Theater progressive. But good Maiden comparison, they moved for their time-- most likely one of the reasons people to this day still enjoy them. But, agreeing to disagree is the proper way out here, you've got your own opinion and I, my own. Coheed is a great band and certainty not emo. Hang those who say otherwise.

  • @UsedBlues Well no offense to you, but EVERYBODY let me say it again EVERYBODY considers Dream Theater progressive. So all in all, I think you are in the minority there bud. I guess you'll have to agree to disagree with EVERYBODY on that one. Take care of yourself

  • so pumped, this is going to be the best yet.

  • I absolutely cannot stop listening to this.

  • they made a really awesome video for this song...super intense! check it out on their myspace. I can't wait for the new album 4-13!!

  • yeah, hopefully they keep vids like that coming

  • okay. i made a stupid comment earlier about how the new album was gonna pretty much blow. i'm an absolute twat and stand corrected. almost every track is incredible.

  • i think you had it right the first time.......

  • @alriooreo at least u admit it. Thanks hahahaha Coheed rules. Dont doubt...

  • @alriooreo lmfao. atleast you're man enough to call yourself a twat. and yes all their music on this album is epic.

  • I prefer this version a lot more. It gives you more time to appreciate whats happening, the other version is rushed. I miss the minimalist ska-punk style of the earlier C&C though, I appreciate the new stuff for the most part though. They need to name their songs better though, the enigmatic mystery of their old songs isn't preserved.

  • @RivetsAndRain Gee, maybe I should say 'though' some more : /

  • @RivetsAndRain Agreed.

  • I'm surprised that just about every comment is people saying they don't like this song, this is one of my favorites by Coheed

  • i didn't liked it, hope this is like the worst of the album

  • i hope they make another balls out rocker like Gravemakers and Gunslingers and NWFT

these 2 new songs are decent but they have cheesy choruses

  • Yeah, World of Lines is the next Gravemakers. Its not as crazy on the guitar, but its still extremely balls out and amazing.

  • hmmm Idk if I like it or not..... will have to keep listening to it

  • For those of you criticizing the two tracks released, listen to the previews of Far and Made Out Of Nothing. They've probably been taken off YouTube, but search it in google.

  • they were taken off im the guy who put them up but then got banned

  • i dont know if i like this or not, i mean when you compare this to anything on 2nd stage turbine or in keeping secrets, theres no contest

  • word

  • @JTLGonzo.

No. It's really not; there was a misprint.

  • @Exhuman

Thank you. Some people just don't know what they're talking about.

  • I think the original is better. They've never been a band that had to repeat lyrics in the fashion that this song was edited, it takes away from the song, in my opinion.

  • Since when have their first singles ever been their best songs on the album? Everything Evil, In Keeping Secrets, Mother Superior... None of which were singles. They'll get better.

  • i wouldn't hold your breath

  • They haven't made a bad song yet.

  • agreed

  • ...until juggernaut. thats my point.

  • It'll grow on you.

  • your crazy

  • i personally think all of their albums are good and i cant pick a favorite. by the sounds of it, this album has a lot of potential to be another great album. it is good that coheed & cambria changes their style as they progress or else it would be like listening to the same album over and over.

  • Funny, when I was listening to this song, I wanted it to be exactly like this edit. The riff at the begining, the longer second verse, etc. They really should have made it longer. Like this.

  • So did you edit this to make it extended? I can tell from some of the pixels and from hearing quite a few shops in my time.

  • amazing song

  • please correct me if im wrong but aren't the albums not in chronological order?

i just can't fit them all together, i get the story (and it's amazing) i just wanna know what order they go :]

oh would reading the Amory Wars help? cause ive always wanted to just can't find em

  • This up coming album Year of the Black Rainbow is the prequel album. It's the 5th studio album but essentially the "first" of the story, which then leads to the 2nd part, Second Stage Turbine Blade, the 3rd In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, then the 2 part conclusion Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume I: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness and Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume II: No World for Tomorrow

  • thanks you :)

  • ebay has all the ones that are out for like 40 or 50 dollers and ive only read second stage but it is amazing and it helps put things in order

  • year of the black rainbow is the prequel to SSTB, after SSTB is IKSOSE3, THEN theres the third album, which seems to focus more on "the writer" in the story who is the creator of the story and his going crazy and finally deciding to bring it all to an end, NWFT goes back to the characters in the story and their poointt of view as everything comes to an end O_O hope thats right..anyone who omay know more than me feel free to correct me.

    COHEED FOREVER!

  • Comment removed

  • i have a great feeling about this album

  • People are saying that its not like SSTB when

    1. It doesn't have to be its coheed and fuggin cambria

    2. The tracks are kinda the same SSTB and YOTBR are the only ones that dont have 1 2s and 3s.

  • well I've always thought that Second Stage DID have a number in it. Each just uses a different way of saying it. SSTB uses the spelling second, IKS uses the number 3, and GA uses roman numerals for IV.

  • @shieldforumJim, and no, he's meaning albums, but think of it like this, Second Stage Turbine Blade(2), In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth : 3 (3), GA, Im Burning Star IV (4), NWFT (4.2). Well YOTBR is supposed to be the prequel to SSTB, therefore they're following in the right numerical path. IMO

  • Don't forget about My Brother's Blood Machine.

  • @XxStavrosxX, That isn't a Coheed and Cambria release, it was Claudio Sanchez's side project, "Prize Fighter Inferno" which Is the side of the story in Jesse Kilgannon's view.

  • yeah, but it is still part of the amory wars.

  • @JTLGonzo It's still part of the overall story, though.

  • oh wait, you mean like camper veloriums and the willing wells? You're right about that one :x

  • @shieldforumJim, Velorium Campers*

    Sorry, I'm a Coheed nut. =]

  • well technically it's written both ways :D

  • No, he's right. It's Camper Velorium.

  • @IVGoodApolloIV, It most certainly isn't Camper Velorium, It's Velorium Camper.

  • You guys might not like this now, but imagine how it'll be when they play this live and everybody's belting: "WE ARE! WE ARE! WE ARE! THE BROKEN!" Exactly. Just keep listening to the song. I didn't like it at first, but this song grew on me. Just give the song, and the album, a chance.

  • @my butchering of the lyrics

Sorry about that, I messed up where 'the broken' comes in. My bad.

  • exactly.

(however its 'we are the wrong' not 'the broken')

..godamn i sound like a dick

  • I saw them last year in Chicago, Headlinert was "Heaven and Hell" They are great!!!

  • i doubt this is the origional extended version, keeps repeating the verses. just isn't a claudio sanchez thing to do.

  • Comment removed

  • I have to say, Pennie did not disappoint.

  • i love this band the concept and everything but claude lost his signature high pitch voice here don't get me wrong it sounds awesome the new scream he does to say if your worth anything but yeah ima miss that high pitch afha voice

  • @josedrake33 i miss it too ): i really hope when the rest of the songs come out they'll sound more like he used to.

  • they are amazing but my fav is second stage still

  • 1. Good Apollo I'm Burning Star 4

    2. No World For Tommorow

    3. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3

    4. Second Stage Turbine Blade

You know it to be true. They seem to be getting better with age.

  • @guatape1982 wrong

  • @guatape1982 You're right, this groove is a lot like Sober.

And that's not really fair. No one can beat Sober. :-P

  • I was hoping this album was going to be a little more SSTB, but it sounds as though I won't get my wish.

  • you can be a fan and still dislike an album, tbh i didnt like NWFT that much, apart from one or two tracks but as a whole it was a let down, but this new album sounds very good so far, im just absolutely gutteed that their not playing wales :( i gotta go to fucking london to see them COHEED MUN!

  • lol wtf this is a terrible remix. All you did was re play back some of the same lines right after each other...it isn't really extended.

  • @shieldforumJim

Would you like to suggest any other way I could extend it, with my only source being the original version? And where have I said that it was a remix?

  • This is how it was originally released.

  • NWFT was a disgrace to Coheed. Truly horrible. Favorites:

    1. IKSOSE:3 (first album I heard, in 4th grade, loved it.)

    2. SSTB

    3. GA1

    863. NWFT

  • I totally agree with everything you just said. IKSOSE:3 truly was a masterpiece, but I think SSTB is closer to their roots. GA1 is a bit more alternative, but put together really well (it's like a movie without screens). And I have no clue what went wrong with NWFT. It was a bit too mainstream and soft if you ask me. What do you think about the new song?

  • @ivanhidayat

I actually really like it, which surprised the living shit out of me, considering last time, their single was "The Running Free" which made me want to die.

I have high hopes for the new album, despite it's idiotic name though! The song in the studio video they released today sounds very IKSOSE:3, which makes me very happy.

  • Not many Coheed albums names make much sense, this one is no different. :P

  • they make perfect sense man just listen to interviews and stuff or read the amory wars comics they have alot to do with the story

  • Are you kidding me? NWFT displayed some of the most talented music they have ever written. Did you even pay attention to the riffage on The title track? The song No World For Tomorrow is by fa the most technical and heavy song they have written. There is nothing wrong with a band breaking out of their shell.

  • NWFT was horrible, and no, the song NWFT is not their most technical track, that'd be 21:13. They were looking if you ask me for more popularity out of NWFT to show fans real talent in YOTBR soon to be coming, however this is how it goes.

    1.) SSTB

    2.) IKSOSE : 3

    3.) GA : IBS IV : FFTTEOM

    18763761237452.) NWFT

  • If you really hate NWFT that much then don't bother calling yourself a fan.

  • Nah bro, you can still be a fan and hate an album with passion. I'm not a huge fan of NWFT, and so far I'm not a fan of YOTBR either... but still, I'd cut the throats of babies for this band :]

    Rawr.

    Kickass song :]

If you guys like this song, you'll really like Here We Are Juggernaut.

  • i agree

  • @JTLGonzo

    1. Wrong

    2. Right

    3. SHOULD BE FIRST

    4. ShOULD BE THIRD

  • Then you aren't a real Coheed fan. How do you did their more recent stuff than what made them? I'd take Shabutie EP's over NWFT and GA

  • Who are you to tell him he's not a real fan? I'm sure the band would love to hear your genius theory how if you don't like how they're progressing you're not a real fan. Go away.

  • hmm, That's why they're doing a prequel album to SSTB, shows how much you know about Coheed.

  • Yeah I dunno why every says its no good. A lot of people don't like it because it's a bit more mainstream, and a bit more heavy. And I can see some people don't like heavy or mainstream, but to say it's no good is a little over the top. Coheed is still rocking insane music.

  • yeah, no world for tomorrow was a great album. i think its a good thing that they change with every album. if coheed did make an album that sounded exactly like second stage, people would just complain thats its unoriginal.

  • Musically is their best album...

  • the running free is the only song by coheed that i hate with a passion, i cant stand it, its just a big dissapointment. luckily this new album should be fucking intense

  • Badass song. Period.

  • For me:

SSTB (Not a single meh song on there, all amazing)

GA1 (The album that got me into them)

    IKSOSE:3(Some absolutely killer songs)

NWFT (An immense album, as always, however I think the others are just better)

  • yeah, nwft is good but the other albums are better.

  • For me its

    1. GA1

    2. SSTB

    2. NWFT

    2. IKSOSE3

Good Apollo 1 is simply the best out of all them.

  • This song def grows on you. just like most coheed songs. the more I listen to it the more I like it.

    Album favorites

    1. IKSOSE3

    2. GA1

    3. Second stage

    4. NWFT

  • i could not love a band more than coheed :)

  • Good Apollo one is my favorite. The Willing Wells, FTW. And some of them Mother May I, Crossing the Frame, Tens Speed, and.. You know what the other one is.

  • welcome home? lol

  • @kawsomesweet You bet!

  • In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth: 3, Will always be their best album hands down. This song is amazing though and hopefully this album will be just as good as IKSSE3

  • Awesome Song Cant wait for the new album

  • SSTB still best album..

  • @Thesolobassoonist SSTB is amazing! My fav is In Keeping Secrets.. I wasn't too crazy for No World.. the songs were solid, no doubt, I just felt the quality and mixing was way too polished and overproduced. Good Apollo I is sick too

  • @Thesolobassoonist

WORD!!!!!!! Here is my coheed albums... Realistically there is no bad album, but this is the way it has to be... SSTB, GA 1, IKSSE 3, NWFT

  • mine is sstb, iks, nwft, ga1

  • im pretty sure hes not saying yea yea yea. cuz it sounds like black. makes more sense because the cd is called year of the black rainbow... or so i heard. yea im right thanks XD

  • @RACHL1N its bro-ther bro-ther bro-ther bro-ther

  • it sounds like hes saying blah, blah, blah or blood, blood, blood

  • he is saying blah

  • @dmcoheed18: totally my opinion, i mean thats EXACTLY what i said today, kind of funny xD

  • I'm not sure how this could be considered extended since it isn't officially extended, all I'm hearing is cutting and pasting. First 18 seconds of the "extended version" are the last 18/19 seconds of the song then from 2:29 - 2:40 the "Ohhh" portion of the song is just doubled, too hastily might i add. I much prefer the cleaner (audio-wise) 37 second shorter version. I do not approve of this remix of this masterpiece. Good day sir.

  • It was released like this, If you watched the first teaser video, it starts like this.

  • Actually in the video, there were no lyrics, just the ending portion of the song as you should know. I watched the video over and over. This is just obvious remixing of the song, i would know because i have the original studio version that was put out and where i point out that it is different, those parts aren't in the original.

  • yeah i thought i was the only one who though the mix sounded shady.

  • when i first heard this song it was the non exttended version. that version was not only shorter but it the guitars were turned way way down and the bass to loud. in this version the bass is turned down a little and guitars are louder. i like this a little better cuz its not as messy as the shorter version but they need to turn the guitar up a little more

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Contrary to what a few people have said, I actually love his withering vocals. It gives the song more character and helps give it that story-telling edge, now it feels more like the story is being
