I first saw UK Subs in Welly Club in Hull 1980. I was at school and most impressed when I met Charlie at the door. These days I work with the likes of Coldplay, Razorlight, Keane, Sheryl Crow etc. None of this comes close to being a kid listening to 'Another Kind Of Blues'. I LOVE this band..
punks not dead? hmm.... i dno i wish it wasn't but when you look at bands like greenday and what the mainstream view of punk now is and the form its taken, punk was not just a type of music it was a way of life and overall thats pretty much been killed.. hasn't it?
Old Punk acts are not dead :) but that thing called modern Punk confuses me??? so buying a bunch of overpriced colourful clothes in a trendy store and walking about thinking your cooler than everyone else? makes you punk now? ive had arguments with these types in person! they are such trendys!! up their own ass! and have everything going for them! everyone is rich these days if you think about it :) spoilt brat pop it should be called
@Fender1976uk i feel the same way brother im 13 all these fucks going to hot topic fuck that id rather make my own stuff or go to bondage shops or buy the old shirts from back in the day but there is some good bands still out there just gotta look around
There is still good music out there but the big problem with modern day is that the mainstream bands have allowed the MAN! media, record companys to take control! we get that situation where you have managment teams who tell people what they should listen to! look at the X factor! its worrying to know how so many allow this to effect how they buy music! and just go with the media choices
@Fender1976uk u speak the truth its things like mtv and vh1 that ruin kids choices on what music they like because it leads them to think they need to act or like certain things
I feel sorry for todays kids! I see them being sucked in all the time by the media! they are always talking about X factor, Justin beaver and trendy rock acts that kiss their record companys ass all the time :) its like the anti-punk generation, nobody wants to think for themselves?? they just go with the flow of media powers? I guess it has something to do with the rising digital age? i-pods and the internet! everyone is too use to instant entertainment? if that makes sense?
love the comment about the rejects, never knew that....lol.....charlie says"nag wheels", realises his f%ck up and starts laughing and goes over to the rejects........absolute quality......................
Went to see them last night and do an interveiw for a documentary. Some of the coolest people i have ever met. And to be honest i never thought i would get to see them.
