  • We had a 1961 scout and this had to be one of the best trucks ever built. We gave that little truck hell and it never would stop running. These things were built to last forever . Now all they make is crap made of plastic so everything breaks within a year and you have to buy a new one.

  • I've heard of International Harvester sold in Australia, but I couldn't find any videos on such vehicle. Sweet!

  • I can't wait to get my 1969 Scout 800A running again. Then I can go wipe the smirks off some shmuck's face as I pull his/her H2-H3 , Tahoe, Escalade, or Navigator out of the snow or mud!

  • This is from the era when a utility vehicle was a utility vehicle. It was tough, dependable, and made for work. Now a utility vehicle is an SUV. A light duty, four wheel drive Cadillac.

  • Holy fuck, where was this hiding? Excellent video.

  • International Scouts and Jeep Wagoneers make the current crop of SUVs like . . . yeah, like that.

  • Great to see an Australian advert. for the International SCOUT.

The Australian built SCOUT was built here at the Dandenong plant (now Iveco) on the outskirts of Melbourne, Victoria.

The "J series" Victorian number-plates date this to the mid 1960's

    Regards from OzzInter

  • Come on, somebody tell me how I can download this vid to my computer.
