Healthcare..everyone wants to know why it cost so much,stop & really think about it. Drs have to have insurance to cover the all the lawsuits. Actually it was my wife who posted that - she's Italian, and actually the doctors do come to your house there if you can't make it out. I'm American, and I have no health care, but I would happily wait even two hours to see a real doctor for free. As it is I can't see one at all, because I can't afford it. Socialized simply means under gov't or group controlled. Like the police, the fire department and the public schools in America.
I also watched my father die under Medicare. Medicare is not the type of uniform health care we need. Having a universal health care system in the US would mean big changes. You really may be right - it may never work. but I'd like to see us try. We're a pretty capable country when we put our minds to things. I just don't see how I could be expected to look at this system, where I simply can't see a good doctor or go to a high-quality hospital, and feel it's the bst we can do...

Healthcare..everyone wants to know why it cost so much,stop & really think about it. Drs have to have insurance to cover the all the lawsuits. Then they have to pay for a place to run their office,electricity,water all of which cost more for business than 4 residential. Then pay employees, equipment, supplies, ect. I'm American, and I have no health care, but I would happily wait even two hours to see a real doctor for free. As it is I can't see one at all, because I can't afford it. I also watched my father die under Medicare. Medicare is not the type of uniform health care we need. Having a universal health care system in the US would mean big changes. You really may be right - it may never work. but I'd like to see us try. We're a pretty capable country when we put our minds to things. I just don't see how I could be expected to look at this system, where I simply can't see a good doctor or go to a high-quality hospital, and feel it's the bst we can do...

We've been getting our healthcare ins now. It hasn't been easy, and its expensive.
I think that making it easier and less expensive can be done. I don't think the Feds can do it directly; although, the concept sounds nice since both my wife and I have developed some chronic illnesses.
Even with that, I'm not fond of a federalized system. I see it ballooning costs out the wazoo. Quacks will be scarce if their incomes are cut, and they'll all be foreigners.

i sincerely hope that we can look past our divisions and try our utmost to be objective about our political leaders... obama is more then articulate... there is a genuine heart that cares more about people that need help then he cares about rich corporations that could help him..honesty..what a concept..i understand congress is controlled by special interests and i'm not sure how many ideals of obama will actually be fulfilled considering our system of government..but we have faith in you obama

Senator Obama has stated several times he wants an immediate withdrawal of all troops in Iraq. Whether you agree with the war or not, this would lead to defeat. 2. Senator Obama has called to repeal the Bush tax cuts which affect all Americans to the better. By taxing corporations, taxing the rich this leads to companies outsourcing and less investing= less jobs. (limited space)

I'll say he is bright he wrote into his book about his Grandmother being afraid of a black man that was harassing her at a bus stop because she was frightened,he made her into a racist.
