I indentify myself as a kabbalist. However, I sometimes find it strange that kabblah focuses so heavily on "the light" when satan is often refered to as "the light bringer." Does anyone know why this is? Is there any connection here?

Through this process of transformation we reveal more Light in our life. It is said in the Biblical story of Jacob wrestling with the angel, that when the angel was defeated, it celebrated? Why? It was fulfilling its purpose by being defeated by Jacob, just as our Opponent rejoices when we overcome it.

I guess what my issue is, I just don't know what is right. Sure someone can say "This is the right religion" but honestly, the only way we can prove that ANY religion is the right one is by dying, and then finding out, and coming back.

Then there are people tho have claimed to have done this, but I can't get past that maybe they are trying to make money, and are making it up.

I don't know, maybe my Ego gets in the way, but it's hard to decide what's right.

I used to really be a downer to be around. Very depressed, dark, sarcastic. In the morning people would say Hi but I'd just nod and get to work. Life seemed pretty grim. Then one day I decided to stop all that and just be different.

Now I'm happier than I've ever been in my life even though nothing has changed, and in fact has gotten somewhat worse for me financially.

But I never once used kabbalah, meditated or used NLP. I just decided to change and then did it. Who knew it was easy?

@DangeloM27 The wisdom of the Zohar was being taught orally, from teacher to student, even before the Zohar was committed to writing. Plato was influenced by the teaching of the Kabbalists.

In fact, the founder of the Kabbalah Centre taught that it was indeed Rav Shimon who wrote the Zohar and Rav Ashlag's reasoning can be found in "An Entrance to the Zohar" Ch 16. Im an christian. But open minded christian, because one my best friend is in India, to study buddist ways. But I like those words, but never chould't open my own mind. Kabbalah has changed my life! I am 30 and have two children. EVERDAY I was fighting with the children, waking up angry, snapping at everyone, thinking awful thoughts about every woman who walked by me that I thought had a better life.

@Reido2828 the only way to know the truth is explore it for yourself and you will understand the lies and misconceptions about Kabbalah. People fear what they don't understand. Those who don't understand Kabbalah will say anything out of fear of what they dont know. It is not the "dark" side of Judaism but the "hidden" side.

the obstacle with kabbalah is staying connected after the drudgery of everyday using the same tools get repetitive and you know it works but your ego/opponent constantly second guesses you and manipulates your reason and thoughts

before you know it, the suddenly syndrome, you are in the dark.
