I am one step away from living on the street. btw, I live in Canada. I am wondering if Canada will go into a deep recession sooner or later just like you guys in the U.S.
all of our jobs are i health care. if you can take EMT or nursing go for it. our jobs are in health care. you need 70 to pass the state and then take the national test. licenses do you better than degrees: you pay upfront before you take the course.
EMT basic costs around $700 plus the books. many people take two or three times because it's that challenging. I've taken basic and missed by a few points and am scrambling to get my next job or the money to take it again. try it!:)
Texas too unemployment according to reports is 8.4% at least that is what the news reports real unemployment is probably about 18% and growing. Nurses and teachers are already beginning to get layoffs as well. I look and look for a job and there are NO JOBS. Coming from someone who has 3 Bachelor's degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. Getting a Degree in todays market can actually be a liability. I never thought i heard the words OVER QUALIFIED.
In April I was canned after 24 years with the same company. I've looked.. there's nothing here in Cleveland. I worked in the stockroom of a coupling factory. I've been depressed. Tomorrow I'll try a career center place and see what they say. You gals are great.
lollll this is because what your parents told you about money/education is old hat. you can not go to college and get a goob job (job meaning working for somebody else). you need to start your own business. research RESIDUAL INCOME ladies!!! -Rich, Pawtucket
so yea.... Don't watse your money on LINCOLN TECHNICAL INSTITUE!!!! They suck ass....... I went to school with them.... still can't get a job... they promised to help find a job... there solution you ask... get more exprience how?? you may wonder... they told me volunteer at hospitals and clinics.. when asked who would cover my son's daycare their reply that's your problem...... so yea RI SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!! my next appartment will be in MA!!
