lol Helio! Way to get discontinued... I was on Virgins 25$ plan for a while until I switched to Net10's unlimited plan which is SOO MUCH BETTER! If you guys are still using Virgin do yourselves a favor and switch to Net10 the service and coverage is exponentially much more reliable. Net10 runs on ATT and Verizon towers and has GSM and CDMA coverage.

I got the LG900 which is pretty cool (i like it better than my previous blackberry) but I wish the phone selection was a little better. I never knew Net10 runs on both ATT and Verizon towers thats pretty awesome, guess I know why my calls never drop.

Yeah, I know, that comment was made 9 months ago before Helio was discontinued by Virgin Mobile. Before May 25th, Helio was an awesome deal for the price. I used that phone all through 2009.

On May 25th of this year, I switched to the $25 Virgin plan you mentioned (300 mins). I'm still on that plan but now with the Virgin Kyocera Loft.

Even though this Helio phone is no longer used on Virgin Mobile, it still has many great multimedia functions: 1) video camera 2) MP3 player 3) video player 4) still camera 5) photos viewer 6) alarm clock 7) voice memo recorder 8) notepad.

I still take it out as an MP3 player, record videos and photos, type notes, view photos, and view YouTube clips that I pre-saved as MP4 files. It's still useful for some things!

The Helio phone ends on May 25, 2010. Sprint sent us a lousy $50 coupon towards the purchase of a new Sprint phone.

I said hell no. I'm going over to the $25 Virgin Mobile plan. Sadly, they will not allow Helio Ocean to work on Virgin Mobile.

The phone is still good as a still camera, video recorder, MP3, video player and notepad.

unfortunately u need to get the plan. it add s up to be worth it. i tried to use the new with 20$ 50mb (i think) went trough it in like 10-15 days need to do it again cost me with min new and texts about 70 $ at the cheapest. its gona cost me like 75$ now but i got more min that ill use in a month (500) unlimited texts and web.and protection plan (7 $ a month). i think its worth it and im building up credit with a bill. also i needed over a 300$ deposit, i get bak in a year tho
