i have a how to video somewhere in my old vids. i dont remember the title but find the other hood vid that is old and i lay it out and measure it and show how to put it on moving footage and i give meaurements. plus these olds vids suck. lol. go to my page and see my new stuff out in the forest on the huge mt i live on
i just sent you a weird email cause of the tree hugging hippie stuff. but if you watch the video response to this is show me and i measure hood and show moving footage on how to put on and make it. also i do a kicking demonstration at the end
I used to use that method of tying a mask & hood. The only problem with it is it tends to hamper your hearing if you don't get it just right. It also has a tendency to slip up & unravel at the worst possible times.
you can use what ever you like. you should check out the video response i made for this vid it is a better version and not pictures. also all my outdoor vids that are my newest vids show me in hood outdoor in forest on the mountian doing ninja training
Thank you, hopefully we can view moving tutorials in the future. It's a little hard to figure out how you did it and which came next. Thank you Master Mountainous *BOW*
i have about 80 vids and this is a early one and only 5 like this.. all new are edited better multiple angles and very vocally explained. check out my page and look at all the ones where you see blue mat and red gi and indoor. and the newer ones with nature demonstrate what i teach indoors.
also i posted a video response to this vid. i remade it and with words and indoor whrere i make all my indoor vids and i teach how to size and make and wrap and close ups and right above what you are reading. called ninja hood tutorial/announcement/demonstration
i will. i did this when i only had a cheap camera that did still shots. i do a vid and it shows me putting it on up close but i dont remember what vid. i will hunt and email you.
not thick like a gi. i am not sure. i went to the fabric store and just found something that is not see through and not fuzzy and i could breath good through and sale items and just pick according to weather. winter might use white and get made of thicker and summer can be thin.. use your best judgement and i know you will pick a fabric well
yes hollow raw egg and poke small pencil size hole on both ends and blow out yolk . then let dry over night and for practice fill with baby powder, and fill 99 percent full. use jumbo eggs for better effect. i use paper funnel to get it in egg. then tape ends shut. in ancient times they used wax. then hold in fist break and throw.
ya and i dont use real blinding powder when training. i use baby powder. real is easy to make and 3 main ingredients i wont say what they are, new vid camera in near future and then i will start making real cool moving videos.
Did you learn that at the dojo? Never saw Hatsumi sensei etc wearing one...didn't know if they ever wear it..or even for show....thought folks might think of "Hollywood" ninja's...so they refrain from that sort of image.
Do you ever wear guanlets? Not sure if that is the right term...it;s the material that ties to a gi top and has a loop for the middle fingers of the hand...similar to what Samurai wore on their hands wiht their armor.
no i dont run around in ninja suit but i do have guantlets and i just had email asking about hood so i made video. i dont care what other people think though. i love ninjutsu and i do what i do i hope people like if not that is okay. take care and have a nice day
in class never have i seen it well in oregon or illinois. but i have attended traditional warrior weekend in illinois and we did night combat training with bokken padded weapons using steath and we wore hoods
you can buy ninja masks all over internet but they are the typical 2 piece skimask looking piece with oval cut out then a hood that looks like a hoody. if you want traditional dont buy cloth 2 feet wide black and what ever length you need. get more you can trim later. wrap around like my vid and see how much is to much. i like after knot in back for each piece to be 1 feet long. so buy it 10 feet long cut to fit and use rest of cloth for something else
MOUNTAINOUS what's that material?? and how long and how deep is it?? thanks :D

I was just wondering if the hood and guanlets are worn much...I've seen the guantles worn by Bujinkan members.
Hope your training is going well.
