the thought of small government is that specific states should be able to cater to their populations economic needs better than the central government as a whole. The ideal libertarian government would simply control foreign diplomacy, defense, and basic law. Under Thatcher the idea worked with great success. If established with connection to reaganomics, it should be able to work in the US.

the thought of small government is that specific states should be able to cater to their populations economic needs better than the central government as a whole. The ideal libertarian government would simply control foreign diplomacy, defense, and basic law. Under Thatcher the idea worked with great success. If established with connection to reaganomics, it should be able to work in the US.

I know that is the idea, but it never works out because the Fed still tells states how to spend, or makes sudden changes to their budgets making self governing very hard at best. If GOP has the reigns and a state has a policy they do not agree with, they simply tweek their money until the policy goes away, so small government is an idea that looks great on paper, but like god, has no validity in the real world. I am a non-theist conservative social moderate who likes ideas that really work.

Trickle down and high taxes have little to do with each other. The high taxes only apply to you if you're rich. If you're rich, even after paying high taxes you're still rich. If you're not rich, don't worry, and just enjoy the government services. Trickle down is just voodoo and is basically letting rich people run the country... and maybe something trickles down to you IF they are feeling generous... which happens rarely.

What separates them is language and old feuds such as the caste system. But as a nation they come together as one. Especially in Bangalore, Hyderabad and other metropolitan cities. OK, I give you the warn out tank, but those choppers are still used all over the world and quite a bit in the civilian world here. It's like a 67chevy pickup truck. If you just give it a little love and basic maintenance it will fly for a couple more decades. AND, at least they have brains enough to be arming their assault teams with real rifles. That's something our army has a really hard time doing.

Pakistan is using its oldest most obsolete tanks against the Taliban as new tanks are in reserve for India, new tanks are not needed for the Taliban, these tanks are only useful for firing shells, so old Chinese tanks are fine for the purpose, why waste new tanks on those idiots, it would be overkill. Yeah Huey's are amazing helicopters, durable and rugged. About the soviet tank, I thought it kinda funny considering they are very near Russia(relative to them being far to the US). Russa has semi good tanks, so the old ones were sold off farely cheap at that point, it was a point where many armies acquired tanks. The G3 is a good gun aswell, just because Germany has a better weapon, doesn't make the G3 a throwaway. Ignorance is bliss.
