  • who came here shearing spore mods?

  • i have just got one of these/while its the best wah ive ever had im finding it very difficult to get a usable sound out of the ring modulator/any hints?

  • @wilson2810

the blend knob is the key to getting the ring mod to sit nice in the wah sound. i often set it to about 5 to 10% above zero ring mod. i agree, the wah sounds are XXXcellent. kenny segal rules

  • Can you turn off the wah and only use it as a ring mod?

  • @WTig3r yes, there are separate footswitches for each.

  • I have one of those wah pedals but not in working condition. Do you think it is worth fixing?

  • @NickMusic43

hell yeah! these are no longer made, there are people always looking for them.

  • I have to have this baby! Too bad it's so frikkin' rare!! :/

  • I just picked one up...I use it for Bass...I do those sounds for Live Drum & Bass/Electronica.

  • My good friend Kenny makes these. Jeff Beck is always asking him for these to give too his friends. For example, Jeff asked Kenny for two of them to give to Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame party/concert like 2 years ago. It's the only pedal Beck uses onstage anymore.

If you see the pedal in person, it's actually very cool looking. But that's NOT what matters...the pedal is sick--In a good way! So many tones to chose from.

  • How do you get the pedal to spring back up to the top position? Did it come like that or have you installed a spring yourself?

I use a Wonder Wah 2 and mine always weighs itself down (so the toe is touching the button).

  • On paper this pedal seems to be a dream. However they are poorly made. I own one I like it but it's such a headache. Seems like it has a gate problem at times w the ring mod.

  • this pedal is fucking SICk

  • BucketHead uses this! \M/

  • Used to use it, he's usually seen with Crybabys now, and i've seem him using a VOX too.

  • i saw him at bb kings this past year and he was using this

  • Last time i've seen him he was using a VOX wah pedal, but i saw him with Crybabies many times also...

Maybe he decided to go back to the good old Mold Spores, who knows, that guy's unpredictable and that's what i love about him.

  • yea bro same here

    cheers

  • Is there another pedal like this on out on the market that are more common?

  • cool pedal but looks like shit

  • Who cares what it looks like. It's a fucking effects pedal.

  • awesome!

  • 5 Stars!

Very factual, correct and a cool video, I just love that 'wow' sound lol

  • What's wrong with 9th chords?

  • i like that wow sound. sounds great in clean

  • where did you buy that?

  • this is on my list of pedals i need along with a whammy and a slicer v kl cheers 4 the vid man

    much love

    ToGaS

  • what dose this have to do with spore

  • buckethead uses one 2

  • and adam jones from tool

  • active circuit yes. Jeff does use it, and these pedals are way cool. just never got taken seriiously. damn yummy

  • Wa-a-a-ah! It is an active circuit!

  • Jeff Beck is using this Dog pedal! That is the best wah on this side of the galaxy!

  • ring modulator

a second note is brought into the signal , creating dissonance. certain notes resonate, others clash. creates a nice outer space or fuzzy spacey feel. can get very grunty.

    try one!

  • @joegagan I want one of these so bad... nice clip thumbs up dude.!

  • what exactly is a ring mod

  • what amp are y0u using, and what are the settings 0n that? y0ur t0ne is 0utstanding.

  • that, my friend, is the mighty mighty fender vibrolux ('81)

can't remember the settings but probably volume on 3 or so, treble and bass about 4 or 5

the reverb tank was replaced with an accutronics 'medium' delay tank.

speakers--- vintage style 10" ( eminence kapton voice coil 25 watter), and a celestion 12" installed in this amp as well.

hey! thanks for the comment and the question frankanachachoacho

  • i dont want to go to bed lol

  • I just love the part when you try to make it talk :)

  • i love all of the almost synth sounds this has but can you just get a classic overdriven wah sound with this aswell?

  • yes.

  • sweet

  • Haha awesome stuff man. 5/5

  • 535Q has ALOT of variable settings, its not weak at all. It depends on your set up? My Clyde McCoy fills a void my 535 doesnt and my Snarling fills a void Clyde doesnt. Its all relative!

  • i like buckethead. thank you for listening!

  • I got Crybaby 535Q wah but took it back cos it sounded too weak, this Snarling looks more like my style.

  • How much does it cost ? 0_0

  • what are you looking for in the demo?

  • Awesome stuff!

  • Great stuff!

  • Great stuff!

  • Neat, sick sounds. Sounds like it's pretty noisy.
