Approach to St. Barts Island - Cessna 340 Landing in St. Barts (Flight Simulator X) [Commentary]

Hi C154,

I've noticed that some airports/runways are not correctly positioned in MFSX; such as St Barts, SABA and Lukla. I've checked out FlyTampa but it's pretty expensive, is it worth getting? Also, I tried downloading a few of there demos and there download work, but after that they failed/errors occurred. My internet connection is terrible. Will these problems happen if I buy it?

How do you get so many views on your vids and make them look so good?

The reason why you floated for a bit before touching down was because you were coming in a little fast. If you fly that approach at about 5kias less you'll land right on the numbers. For st barts its not about a smooth landing its about getting down and stopping before going for a swim.

@fsxman44 You have the demo version of fraps. You need to buy the full version to record more than 30 seconds.

Just a suggestion, maybe have an outline type thing, in the top right area have the main perspective, under it have the airport name + info + aircraft info, and to the left ( a little smaller than the bigger one) have the other views???

It's neat to see the perspectives at once, but I really like when you do the playback of them as individual clips on the single video better as you have in the past. That's just me though.

Hey Steve, have you heard of EZdok ? It adds a landing and takeoff effects (bumps) while rolling down the runway and adds a great realistic feel to FSX. You should look into it !

Got a malware detect from the scenery site here on chrome, anyone else get it?

@nick71082 Yeah, that is a warning that only Google Chrome notes, apparently. There is a Wordpress bug that Chrome views as an exploit. Wordpress released a patch to fix that problem, and apparently the problem was fixed for all browsers except Chrome. To prevent any confusion, I have removed the link until the problem can be fixed.

Chrome blocks stuff that actually are not malicious, because their malware directories are not as extensive and/or as accurate as firefox's directories. And btw, just becuase the browser is made by google, doesn't mean they have a lot of experience... Firefox's crew is made up of very experienced web designers..

I dig the different views at the bottom, but don't you have some like rendering errors when in comes to the in game instant replay? Whenever I use that the ground glitches all out and the plane acts like it's one of the default traffic planes in FSX.

@HARDKOREbear I'm experimenting with the replay setup. I've never used instant replay for video purposes until this video, but I did find that if I playback the instant replay video at 1/2 speed and then set the instant replay video speed to 2x during editing the results are much better and the instant replay video is smooth (sorry that is a bit of a long explanation). I still don't like the aircraft movements in the replay, though.
