I like all these people saying not to represent yourself. Trust me. YOU as a lawyer is way better than anything the court will appoint you. They don't give two craps about your case and it will certainly show in court. I think a lot of them are paid to lose on purposed. If you can't afford to buy your own lawyer, then absolutely represent yourself, and ALWAYS do a bench trial. That's a trial without a jury. Juries are filled with idiots who know anything of the law anyways.
