@vintagevideogamegeek I just got like 12 in the last week. I am looking into maybe getting a 2600 jr, 7800, 5200, intelivision, sega cd model 1 and perhaps a cdx this week if my funds allow it. However with these systems I am thinking do I really need them, I got all the ones I grew up with or had at one point. There above mentioned I never had other than the model 1 but I have the model 2, do I really need a model 1 too? Also kinda like the cdx.

The neat little things that people may remember is Game genie was god back in nes days. Game pro magazine was the best thing to have because you couldnt "Ask Jeeves" for a game walk through or cheats.

I remember when my brother was showing me the sega genesis in a toys r us christmas catalog. It was so different to anything i ever seen. It was so sleek and the boomerang shaped controllers looked so weird compared to the nes controllers. what an epic system. the controllers felt so comfortable and the games were awesome. The box it came in was cool with the grid style background. I eventually got a sega cd for it. later i got a 32x when toys r us were selling it for $30 after tax.

Hi man, Im not sure if you'll get this, but I have an old Atari 2600. Im not sure why it isnt working though. I put all the cables where they should be and i change the channel to either 2 or 3. I put the cart in but all i get is really fuzzy tv. help?

I'll answer your question for the Sega Saturn model 2 and why it came out. reason was quite simple really. Sega was able to reduce the cost of the system by removing excess parts and using a universal mold for all the console across all regions. This helped in lowering the cost of the $400 dollar monster of a system. Also up to that point in time the Sega Saturn was the most expensive console of its time. Some stated that was on of the reasons of the rapid success of the cheaper Sony PSX later.
