I agree that the best part of Christmas is the whole season leading up to it. Much fun! And I have the same problem with small-screens. I can't type a word without fumbling it. It's just amazing to me that you keep finding those 78s. I would never have guessed that so many would still be available without scouring the whole country! Have a Happy New Year!

I found some too and will be making a vid for them soon. My mother got a tablet for Christmas, and I got the task of teaching her how to use it. Only thing is, I've never used a tablet. funny enough i also got a tablet for christmas, ive forgotten what make it is though, you got some good finds and 78s are always hit and miss, usually the good ones are broken and the bad ones are in mint condition!

I can't wait to hear your Monster Mash as I've always wanted to cover that song and even once made a cover of Deadbolt's "Down In The Lab" to expose how the two songs are eerily similar though I couldn't find a vocalist to finish it. [You should send me your vocal tracks :) ] By the way, I was unable to find Shiner Holiday Cheer, BUT a super hooray for Shiner "Commemorator"- one of my favorite beer discoveries of 2011 so thanks for the recommendation!

Except for last week, the holidays did fly by. But, we get one more long weekend coming up!! YAY!!! You're right, that house could hold a lot of records and players!! AAAAH! I'm missing only 4 of Luncefords Vocalion/Columbia 78's to complete his entire Vocalion/Columbia run of 1939-1940 and you just snagged 2 of 'em ("Le Hazz Hot"/"Rainin'" & "Mixup"/"Blue Afterglow")!!!!! SWEET!!!!!

Those Blue Ace Basie's are "bootleg" dubs, though - muddy, dull sound. Been looking for "Louisiana"/"Easy Does It" for ages! Did Santa get the map mixed up & send you MY gifts or what? LOL!
