This can be natural sapphire - but this is definitely dyed (colour coated). Very common practice done in India for Sapphires. Better get a lab certificate for these stones.

if the stone contains a lot of impurities, it won't turn out shiny or it will not gleam...anything that is pure will definitely shine and will gleam under light..this stone is shiny, but is very dull..definite proof of impurities...i've seen the real thing, and its not as dull as that..its dark, but u can still see the cuts and lines within the stone easily...
