Why do you get drunk? "I like it" --textbook alcohic response---despite all the pain, misery, loss of family, career and health--it feels good. As a recovering alcoholic I'm laughing with Jan, not at him---wish I could talk to him about my story--there is good life after alcohol
@tomjaykens Normal people drink responsibly to feel good--Alcohilics drink to cover up, deny, and deal with issues that normal people resolve without drinking. I don't need to go to go back to school--I have a doctorate in life experience on this one. I wish Jan all the best and really hope he can keep clean.
What they don't say the vocal damage was his own fault, when he pulled the breathing tube out that was placed in the ambulance on the way to the trauma center at Mission Hospital. How do I know? I was there on that call, I worked at Medix ambulance at the time the 2 paramedics are good friends of mine to this day. OCFA medic 31 Darren and Kevin.
He honest (even though he doesn't owe us an explaination), is still handsome and just another human trying to navigate through this sometimes 'Ucked up life..Heads up Jan. I'm glad that you are still alive and kicking.
Wow! I question this.....it might seem crazy but, any other folks on there born July 15 with an attraction to alcohol? I know of 3 thus far - all families differ..but with much of the same. Is this just a coincidence?
This interviewer is the world's biggest condescending dick. He even blurted out something Jan had told him in private. Re-watch this clip and tell me the interviewer isn't a major prick.
@IAmGuyMontag You're not the only one who thinks that. Did you work on this, regarding what the interviewer blurted out that Jan had told him in private?
This dude is doing some documentary in New Orleans on Big Wednesday. He doesn't look as good as he should look at age 65...because of his drinking and drugs but he doesn't look as crap as he has recently.
I would like to see him make a comeback..not to superstardom...but to at least work and prove that anything is possible.
Michael Jackson before his death, did weirder things, Billy Idol had more problems with women and drugs, and there are other worse types than JMV at least. Hopefully there will still be a chance in the future.
@luvtimber True that..in the end the so called friends leave you there..usually Juda's kiss, the sign of betrayal. If only one could see who ends up going to your funeral. That is one lonely cold place when they lower you down.
Yup ! Jan is way to laid back to be a dick on Facebook ! I was right it was not him :D

@Sutterjack isn't that the number 1 reason why people drink, because they like it.... Shut your alcoholic mouth and go back to school nigger!

@AirwolfArchive I ran into them about a month and a half ago
at a local restaurant. I think they were going to California soon for
some Airwolf reunion thing, not too sure. He seemed to be in good health
and very clear minded. I wish them the best.

Best of luck to you Jan. Stick with your daughter who seems to want to help you.
And remember God will be the only one who will not forsake you, you'll find out real quick who your real friends are when you are down.
God Bless

Doug McClure was worse, they propped him up by noon on "The Virginian" and put him in the ox cart back to Universal's stages from the back-lot by 3.
