HELP ME! My cod2 opens and stuff but when i go ingame i get 1fps, its because its on dx9, and when i change to dx7, it says that its dx7, but there are still shadow and lighting options, and game runs in dx9, is there andy way i can force dx7? i have an atom 2.0ghz, gma945 with modded drivers on win7ultimate 1gb ram
@RaVGAM3R well, first of all, you should get the modded drivers, secondly try using a program called 3dAnalyze, if none of these work or they don't improve much, just put all the lighting affects to low or none, reply back if you need more help gl man
@OriginalFutureChaos I an using latest version of modded drivers, ive even tried addgame.reg tweak or w/e, that didntwork at all, and in 3danalyze ive tried all the possible settings, ive tried singleplayer and multiplayer, reinstalling the game, drivers, 3danalyze, and it still wont change to dx7. whan i try to change it, game ''restarts" like it always does after changing the graphics, and it says its dx7, but there are still dx9 settings, shadows etc., and dx9 ingame
@OriginalFutureChaos but it gave me a directx error and you already know that kind of error on intel gma 900 cards. it says directx encountered an error and needs to be closed, but my directx is 10 how can that be. thers a solution to by pass this error its called swiftshader but the game is very laaggyyyy 1-3 framerates only. can u help me about this

@OriginalFutureChaos i have a problem installing modded driver v1.2 at acer aspire one150 that contains gma 945 . After installing modded driver the performance was still crappy
@4500intelx well, I'd like to know what speed your processor is, your ram and how large your screen is, and trust me, acer ain't all that great. another thing is that the modded drivers will HELP the problem, not solve it. btw, are you playing counter strike source? if you are, the source engine needs a-lot of cpu power and ram. hope it works out :D
@4500intelx sorry man, bad news. first of all, i have 1gb of ddr2 too and it sucks, get an upgrade if you want and the processor isnt all that great either. so, bad new, u should get a new computer cause upgrading ram might not exactly solve the problem
@4500intelx alright, first of all i would recommed ATi over nvidia but its up to you. if you get a ati go for a nice 5770 from xfx or saphire. if you want nvidia, get one of their awsome 9800 gt graohcis cards.but geforce 210 is good too!

@winghun Then download Intel Display Management Tool and then set COD2_SP.exe to software vertex processing mode. Plus, download GMA Booster, and overlock your card to 420 GHz or smthing like that.
@OpenGLSecond IDMT doesn't actually work most of the time but YES anyone with a compatible card is recommended to download GMA Booster AND NO it will not overheat your card because the card was made to sustain 400 Hz but they intel capped
