  • hey i cant find oclf in market is there an alternative

  • @kwamea20 On the XDA forums, you can find a program called One Click Root/unroot

  • @kwamea20 or you can gooogle z4root works great and its all done on the phone through an apk

  • what do i do if im already rooted and on a custom rom? i have clockwork mod recovery already flashed

  • Thanks, this was extremely helpful. Installed Axura 2.0.5. Only suggestion I would have is to up the volume a little bit, the video was very quiet. Cheers!

  • Works on Tmobile Samsung Vibrant, this is just what I have been looking for, I did my phone first, tested it out and loved the Axura rom, will be trying other roms later.

  • does this process work for the captivate also?

and I already have a lag fix installed (the one click lag fix) and I already rooted my phone so what should I do?

  • Will the backup also get my text messages/pictures/downloaded files? Or should I use something else? Great video btw. I will probably do this upgrade this weekend

  • Great video! Successfully flashed. did you install the voodoo lag fix?

I want to install the voodoo, how would I go about doing that? the same way I installed the ROM?

are there better lag fixes for this ROM?

    thanks

  • hey i did the root thing like u said in the "OCLF" screen,

  • hey man i need your help after i flash my vibrant with that same 2.2 rom,i lag fix and now the screen is just black, what can i do

  • The OCLF doesn't root my device. I have JI6 installed. BUt when I'm in recovery mode, there is no sdcard update.zip anywhere.

  • Comment removed

  • It always hangs on "Finding update package". How do i get past this?

  • @moleman2040 Are you rooted? and are you using the correct recovery screen?

  • Hey Austeecles, any problems installing this ROM on JI6 updated phone?? I read somewhere you need to uninstall the update and go from there..

  • @jvanja Not entirely sure about that. Check the XDA forums out.

  • @Austiclees I actually installed it without any Odin.. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!

  • Can you use this method for the Captivate?

  • awesome video works perfectly. It did take me two tries to get the Rom to load as I did have a different boot log screen and didnt know which to select...but your instructions are excellent and your video helps those need just a little more help on getting this done. Thanks again!

  • hey dude. thanks for this. awesome video !!! i followed all instructions step by step. and now my samsung galaxy s GT-I9000 is completely bricked. its going back for repairs. what do u think went wrong ??

  • @justdaryl2o4

Ha ha did you load a vibrant ROM into your i9000 galaxy S?

  • @dmolition123 No, that's the standard Vibrant.

  • @justdaryl2o4 More than likely, it wasn't bricked. There are ways to "unbrick" it. did you try using Odin to flash back to stock?

  • Thank you very much for the video! I followed your instructions to the T (though with Axura 2.05) and it worked perfectly!

  • @Alien1099 Thanks :)

  • @Alien1099 I did the same thing. This Rom is so sweet. Snappy, all of my apps work. And My gps is fixed. I needed this fixed to keep my running position. Plus how easy it is to upload Youtube vids. Love the Sprint Samsung Epic camera features. It records alot smoother than the original Vibrant camera. Same hardware but better software I guess. Thumbs up Bud. Your the man.

  • Thank you very much for the tutorial.

Is it necessary at all to install the Voodoo Lagfix?

Or should we use the one-click lagfix?

  • @moofassa22 OCLF will not work with Axura, but the Voodoo lagfix makes this rom scream even faster!

  • nice tutorial, thanks for taking the time to make it. Question: How easy is it to unroot and go back to the original stock ROM? If the phone needs to get serviced for any reason, going back would be nice.

  • @vidmonkey not very difficult. I actually just did this yesterday because I tried to install a front facing camera on my Vibrant and somehow managed to mess up my screen. Information can be found on the XDA site.

  • I notice on xda you guys have a new update on this rom. Are you going to do a video of this?

  • TY Aus

  • thanks a lot buddy. I'm new to root and flash phone so your step by step tutorial is helping a lot.

  • great job of explaining everything man, great video

  • quick question when going from a 2.1 rom to a 2.2 rom do i need to flash a kernal or do i flash like i would any other eclair rom as well as going from a 2.2 back to a 2.1 rom

  • Awesomely well done! Thanks a lot Austiclees. This is very infromative and helpful for us nOObs. You're the man! I'll follow these 6 steps tonight. And I'll will tell my friends about this tutorial video clip. However, will you post a tutorial of how to return the phone to stock, just in case?
