  • i will post a question here hoping someone will answer. i see in action a k52 with i5 460m but never saw the phenom 2 x3, 2.1 , n830. which of them is best? i intend to buy one k52 and really want to know. hav to mention primary use will be games and multimedia. also want to go for the coolest one, dont like hard core temps. please only write comments if you are aware of this 2 cpu's. i wnat profesional opinion. thx

  • @hendrix1809 lol, of course man!

  • I read the books for technical specifications and such. Some people read them :P

  • Poorly taken vids.. next time try to use a tripod..

  • thanks for your video . but u have taken more than half time just for openning the box !!

  • pretty good! things to remember for ur next unboxing:

-try and choose a location that has less background noise

-get a buddy to help u with the camera :)

  • Good video. You should consider shaving more often. ;)

  • @LauxHawk :)), every one has the right to be how he/she wants. don't be rude :P

  • If you got time for me..Can you check a bit for me if i can change K52JK-SX031V's GFX Card? Only if you got some free time, I looked on forums but i only find out that some asus laptops can be upgradeable. MY GFX Card is Ati Mobility HD5145 1GB Dedicated Moemory DDRIII Thanks very much. 5/5 for vid <3

  • @TheNotyownz hy there, well i don't know exactly for this model but usualy the k52 cant be upgraded. from my experience i can tell you that nvidia has more more replaceable card for notebooks than ati. i'm ati fan btw. i give ati a big - here. ati is doing very good lately with desktops but i think they rellt hav to improve thei cores offers for notebooks and especialy the medium ranged gamers! they hav very high prices at medium class mobility cards. i will try to answer your qquestion. add me

  • i bought a laptop like this everything same but the difference is that i have i5 core and ati mobility radeon 5145hd. How much u bought this for? Mine costs me £650. Well mine is good only the gfx card is different. And btw can you change laptops gfx cards? reply plz , Thank you.

  • @TheNotyownz Hello, I live and bought this laptop in the Philippines and it costs me about Php 38,000 or using today's monetary conversion, about 575 UK pounds. As for your question, some manufacturers -- especially in the US -- allows higher-end laptops' graphics cards to be replaced or upgraded but for most cases it's fixed and can't be changed.

  • @TheNotyownz i got mine with thw nvidia card and it cost me £598.26

  • can this handle gta iv?

  • @mrswartz Yes, it can with settings from low to medium! :)

  • @techconclave awesome. thanks for the info.

  • @techconclave well i don't agree. that is a theoretical saying but practical things change. if you play in 1024x 768 which is i belive a good res for this screen size you can play with medium to high in decent frames gta IV. depends on the user now. my personal opinion is that is running very good this game with the settings i've mentioned above. after all is a laptop , if you want extreme performance better go for a desk. true powerful laps are but what about the pockets ;) doesn't worth it

  • you literally just unboxed it... lol no "REAL" comments after? the feel, worthiness and such.

aside from the inability to pronounce vowels without sounding like a douchebag, relatively good english i must say. XD

anyways, is it worth the price and can it do more versus my core 2 duo desktop?

well, the brochure said it can but meh... extreme multi-tasking and such?

i've been really eager to get this one... XD

  • @jomelle012 It feels like a high-clocked Core 2 Duo desktop. The graphics adapter is very good but it drains the battery pretty fast. As for my vowel pronunciation, I grew up with Cebuano as my native and daily language and it gives me some unique accent. Anyway, thanks for your comment and for watching my video. Hope that helps.

  • @techconclave Oh and I have to add that this is an unboxing video, not a review. ;)

  • Hi! I just ordered the K52JR from Villman and I hope I get it within the week. Nice unboxing video :D im glad that I picked the right laptop this time :).

  • Congrats John on your new machine great unboxing!

  • @thetechbuzz Hi Steve!!! Thank you! :)

  • nalalaro nya ba lahat ng mga bagong games ngayon? ( Like GTA4, CoD MW2, Crysis Warhead etc )

  • @tornblackbraces Latest games run from low to mid settings. Sometimes high is possible, you just to tweak the settings. For games released like 2-4 yrs ago, it can run at maximum resolution with good FPS.

  • gaano rin kahaba battery life nyan? aabot ba ng sobra 3 hours?

  • @robz4627 Only a bit more than an hour. It's always the case for laptops that have dedicated graphics card.

  • @techconclave grabe ata power ng ati card na yan.. about one and a half hour lng pala itatagal nyan?? how sad naman.

  • @robz4627 By one and half hours it's using the default/normal settings. If you use Windows 7 battery mode, I think it'll last longer than 2 hours. And yes, the graphics card's performance is quite good and I can understand why it sucks so much power. This is always the case with laptops meant for gaming.

  • Great vid! I hope I could buy one someday

  • @makoto114 You should be able to my friend. One day. :) Good luck and thanks for watching. Please subscribe!

  • magkano bili mo nyan?? plano ko rn sna eh.. ehehehe..

  • @robz4627 Approximately 38000 Philippine Pesos. It's nice. Sulit siya.

  • @FlashPointGaming Thank you! :-)

  • Im glad you got this John! It looks like it's WAYYYY better than your old computer!

  • @techgeek93 Oh yes! The last one was ancient. -_- lol Thanks for your support!

  • that laptop looks thin!!! A very nice laptop there! Congrats on the nice video, i was excited along with you when watching it! This laptop looks fantastic and will be a very good asset to the tech conclave production.

  • 9:55, I'm sure I heard "Requiem for a Dream" in the background xD

Great video, should be good when you get Vegas working correctly.

  • @christheferal That's correct! Gawd, you're so good. xD

  • Nice laptop. I love keyboards with individualy keys like Macs. They don't get dirt stuck in between them.:-)

  • @IckleBanana Very true! I think all other companies in the tech industry are copying the good things from Apple. lol

  • Welcome back! ^_^

It looks like a black mac.

    How's the hyperthreading?

  • @commodore256

Hi!!! Yeah welcome back indeed! :)

Well, the laptop is more responsive than my older one.

Hyperthreading works well but I didn't feel so much improvement with Vegas' video rendering. When I render a video, the CPU cores are not used to its maximum which bothers me a lot because I think it could still increase the speed up. lol I am still figuring out if its the software version (Sony Vegas 9 32-bit) on Windows 7 64-bit that's causing it. :-)

  • great vid john

  • @brad20071 Thanks, Brad, for the upload. You got a fast connection there. lol

  • @techconclave all good mate happy too help out anytime
