But after the Suez Channel conflict also started, the world shifted their attention to that conflict. That gave the Sovietunion the chance to quickly take Hungary back. They had to be quick about it, because the americans used the hungarian revolution as propaganda against the Sovietunion, showing the world how the communists massacering the people of Hungary, who are fighting for freedom and independence. The red army used as many tanks to crush the revolution as Germany used in all of WW2.

Let set things straight! This was a fight for freedom. Hungary wanted to detach themselfs from the soviet communist block and wanted all of the red army troops leave, that occupied the country. In his radio speech Imre Nagy said "Hungary wishes to live in piece with it's neighbors, including the Sovietunion and all of the countries of the world. Hungary wishes to stay neutral and don't wan't to belong to any world power". At first the russian troops left Hungary.

Never forget or try to hide it, the revolution of 1956 was an fascist uprising. Of course they had also ordinary people behind them, because Hungaria was infact fascist before the soviet occupation. Hungary was under soviet opression, nobody asked them to come here and stay. it was not fascist uprising. We wanted independence, freedom. russians and their communist helpers, janos kadar take the goverment after 1956 november. soviets commited mass murders here in WW2 and 1956. what about the life on millions? Greece was under Nazi inlfuence as well..and the peole starved to death...They were people who joined the Nazis to avoid suffering.. Perhaps those people in hungary were thinking the same way so they wanted to take advantage of an upsirisng.. But first define what Revolution means to you then we talk again... When you are saying about suffering in WW2 by soviets,,, I think the Nazis were saying these ...sorry..

@TheRiverman85 well, if u look on the map, Hungarys geographical situation is quite hard between east and west. and let me add, that not the nazis were saying that, i saw with my own eyes what remained after soviets, and u know my elderly family members were telling tories, and none of them were wearing arrow cross. Why cant u accecpt that a the invading red army was CAPTURING the country and the capital, just search a russian medal of CAPTURING budapest. soviet system=death of million in eastEU

@TheRiverman85 on teh other hand soviet needed those sites, because they lost many battles, and lives here, both in 44-45 and 56... 1 million soviet troop entered hungary in 44 when rumania changed sides... pretty impressive number, but loosing 200.000 of them is also massive... and just to know russia entered hungary in 56 with 200 tanks... pretty big number, and it shows the weight of the situation... not just bunch of anarchists running on the streets...

I can imagine there wasn't a single anarchist anywhere in Hungary in 1956, yet anarchists still claim the revolution was anarchist? How could you have an anarchist revolution without any anarchists? What does that say about anarchism? I liked anarchism until I realized how empty it was. Anarchists seem content to do nothing but cry oppression. Where is your theory? You don't have one. It's a shame, anarchism has potential, but all it's produced is a dull moralism and phraseology.

I did not say that the workers were fighting for marxism-leninism. The revolution was a reaction to Soviet oppression. Maybe thats why t failed to succede(apart from the soviet repression). The fact that this revolution could not be a wester cospiracy derives from the numbers of the revolutionaries. We are talking about hunderds of thousants of people.

Marxist Leninism is hostile to worker councils, they interfere with the command and control economy, and often place the needs of local workers above the Vanguards long term plans for geopolitical empire building and Marxist modernisation. Marxist-Leninists destroyed communes in Spain, and had the original soviets marginalised.
