  • Nice pickin'! I just bought a GT-750, and I love it!

  • @guitmartiman I'm glad you like it. I love the sound of the GT, I need to do more with it. I started a new company escorting oversize loads cross country and have put my music on the back burner for a while. Work has turned from a part time to a full time, I might put more cars on. I have turned down a lot of loads that I could have had if I had another driver.

I really enjoy your music, you are great

    Thank You!

    Curt

  • That's a guitar dude. not a banjo

  • Hi Curt: This is great, love the sound.. I hope you will post more with the banjitar. Gwen

  • One hell of a catchy tune [The Ode To Jed Clampitt] and nicely played.

  • @Normanskie

    Thank You Very Much!

This is an old Lester and Flatts tune. I listened to it so many times on Beverly Hill Billys, but always enjoyed it.

  • Great voice!Like it!Can you tell me the song name from 2:20 until 2:40?Only if it's a part of a song:D But it's very familiar.Thank you:)

  • The first tune is my version of The Ode To Jed Clampitt and the last one is Dualing Banjo. I'm not very good at ether one.

    Glad you liked it!

    Curt

  • @buster541 I thought they were both great! you play extremely well!

  • I found the same banjo about a month ago and I'm dying to get it. I'm not a banjo player, I'm mostly a guitar player, so when I saw this I had to play with it - being it's a 6-string. I was very surprised with the way it sounded, I'm glad you enjoy it.

I plugged it in as well and it sounds very cool, but unplugged, it sounds pretty awesome. It's really not a tradition banjo in the least, but it's real fun to play.

  • There are several companies that make the 6 string version, but GoldTone makes one of the best for the money. One of the guys on Rascal Flatts plays one and it gives thier music that special southern sound. This is way I tried one, I love mine and I'm sure you will too.

    Thank's!

    Curt

  • @ShotGunRoleModel I agree with you, I have a lot of fun. It sound great in the background of someone else playing and singing. I works great for lead or rhythm.

Thank you for your great comments.

    Curt

  • Hi Curt, I like it. You will have to post some more with the Guitar/Banjo. Enjoyed it. My Dojo is a Goldtone. Gwen

  • Thank You! It is tune and played like a guitar, the only difference is the sound.

I'll try and post something with it again.

    Curt

  • Hey couboy !!!woow-I like it-Fantastic banyo sound-Great buster 10* !!!!!

  • Thank You! I have tried a lot of 6 string banjos and this is the best sounding one.

    Curt

  • Thank You!

    Curt

  • very cool.

    that thing sounds good.

i bet if you finger-picked it, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between that and a 5-string banjo.

    i have a tenor 4-string banjo, and when finger-pickes sounds like a 5-string.

great playing. i could just see jed & granny & jethro & ellie-may comming up the road. ha ha.

    5 stars *****

  • I love the sound of the banjo, thats why I got this. I hope to ues it for dubbing on my music. Your right I have seen it picked figer style, it does sound better. There is a lot of bands using the GoldTone for that banjo sound.

    Thank You Very Much!

    Curt

  • I've had this for some time now and love it. This thing has an amazing sound in the higher frets.

    Thank's

  • I'm not too sure about this, Buster. I heard a dojo to and didn't care for that much either. This hybrid stuff doesn't make it to my ear.

Thanks for the chance to hear it though.

  • Thank's for you comment. I'm like you a banjo is a banjo. This sounds a litlte bit like a banjo, but not as good. I have played it many times with a group and everyone says it sounds great. I still like yhe 5 string best.

  • cool thanks !

  • Your welcome! Come and visit anytime.

  • Awsome! Do you use a reg. guitar amp to plug it in or is there some other banjo amp.

  • It just like a 6 string electric guitar amd uses the same amp. You can slide the pickup up and down inside the drum for a different sound. It also has a volume control on the banjo. I like the sound of it unpluged, I play it though an open mic and it is awsome.

    Thank's!

  • No I haven't, If I do I'd have to name her Myrna, because of you know who.

Thank's for your kindly comments. I have already popped a button or two, I wont let it swell my head though.
