That could MAYBE be Dave "Baby" Cortez on the organ rather than BIlly Preston. Cortez had a couple hit instrument songs called THE HAPPY ORGAN in 1959, and RINKY-DINK in 1962 that use an organ sound that's very similar to this clip.

1.Had to watch twice before I realized Billy Preston was playing "If I Had A Hammer." 2.Stridex never stopped my pimples ; it dried my skin. 3. You can tell Boris Karloff really dug being on this show--what a gent! 4. Hard to believe those young, limber dancing girls are now grandmothers in their '60s.

Nah, Bobby Sherman was the one of the "house singers" (that's him on the bike here) and whenever they couldn't get the original artist to appear they'd have him do the song. He was cute and had talent, certainly, but even he admitted he was in over his head at times.
