That could MAYBE be Dave "Baby" Cortez on the organ rather than BIlly Preston. Cortez had a couple hit instrument songs called THE HAPPY ORGAN in 1959, and RINKY-DINK in 1962 that use an organ sound that's very similar to this clip.
1.Had to watch twice before I realized Billy Preston was playing "If I Had A Hammer." 2.Stridex never stopped my pimples ; it dried my skin. 3. You can tell Boris Karloff really dug being on this show--what a gent! 4. Hard to believe those young, limber dancing girls are now grandmothers in their '60s.
boris and the creepss, great pop group....i think there playing in concert, any one know when....or when hes next film is out,id like to see it,someone told me it will be called frankinstein, with james whale directing it.
Now this is a find. Lurch was somehow one of my favorite characters from "The Addams Family"...I believe one episode is where he becomes a pop star by accident...
the chick in the stridex commercial..within three years by '68 she was at woodstock naked and letting her free flag fly to the delight of some hippie dude who was balling her somewhere on yasgurs farm...
Nah, Bobby Sherman was the one of the "house singers" (that's him on the bike here) and whenever they couldn't get the original artist to appear they'd have him do the song. He was cute and had talent, certainly, but even he admitted he was in over his head at times.
