Nike are a show pony shoe, some people actually think you can run in them. A good 90% of marathon runners I know avoid Nike, the other 9% are betting their health on a few inspirational TV commercials, whilst the 1% probably had their 'Nike' shoe custom made or paid to wear them.
Nike shoes are not overrated. If you run long distance and value comfort then Air Pegasus is the cushiest ride out there. It's highly rated for a reason, runners love it.
All these shoes are garbage and teach you to land the wrong way. It should be toe to heel. Why even run if you are going to take a short cut? It's like running whilst sitting in a lazy-boy recliner. Try running without shoes and see how your foot lands. This is why people have trouble running barefoot because all your life, you compensate due to these trampoline shoes. Good money to be made though. I have these...Sad
@sawink why are you spamming barefoot running everywhere, people that wants to learn to barefoot will do so of their own accord. Not everything about barefoot running is good. Western society is build on concrete roads unlike the soft muddy roads in Africa where people have no problem going barefoot. Also hurting your feet while bare footing could take you off your feet for quite a while, something that many people simply could not afford.
@MrKicks2010 That is the price to pay-they should not be trained to run incorrectly in the first place. No pain no gain! I wonder why someone named "MrKicks2010" (it's 2011) would want people to buy cushioned shoes? (aka Kicks-slang term from the early 80s) Let's not Bullshit-the only reason you scour the Internet looking at the 3 comments I post a year because you obviously make money off running or otherwise. Everything can be traced back to money. So, in the future don't unless u give a shit.
@OOTman00 if you plan on wearing for running you should stick with Kayanos, GT-2000 series for protanator and gel nimbus for none protanators. Don't buy shoes simply because they've dropped prices by a lot.. There are reasons why they drop in price by that much, usually because they don't sell that well.
Eh, I tried these shoes and they suck. They're probably Asics' heaviest shoe, and they raise the heel too far off the ground. The 3000 and Kayano series provide the same amount of Gel cushioning without feeling clunky, and cost 30-50 dollars less.

I try the kayano 15 and returned them after 3 runs. worst shoes ever. I don't trust Asics anymore despite the good reviews.
