Console is good for gaming because it's MUCH cheaper than a minimum spec gaming PC and always delivers great graphics though not always good game play, especially in FPS.

PCs are good because they're capable of playing all types of games (especially pirated ones :P) and provide a much better control of the game due to their many buttons and ergonomic design (your hands are always on the keyboard) in addition to excellent graphics if you're willing to pay that much. So decide: More games = PC.

Actually you can build a rig that'll run this game nicely for about the same price as a PS3 nowadays. And that same rig will be a good deal more powerful than a PS3 as well.

Sure it does. Why don't your friends get PCs? I'm sure you can play even more games together there. And since you like Crysis that you decided to visit its page, why don't you go with a more controllable FPS platform like a PC where you have a mouse lol and can get pirated games. Consoles aren't good in long-term because once they stop making the games you're screwed in 5 years, PC: not always though Graphics aren't easy to catch up to but you don't always need them high.
