@SecularZone You obviously havn't seen what we put our military special forces through. As compared, waterboarding is a minor discomfort to the Navy SEAL Hell Week or just the first part of the Ranger School.

My point is that by bringing ourselves down to their level, we do a disservice to our core principles as a nation. All while getting little more than disinformation. We lose the moral high ground by becoming like the barbarians we purport to oppose. Its that simple.

@SecularZone I said SPECIAL FORCES! And I don't believe you. I have only your word, which is not solid evidence. What most special forces go through is common knowlegde and can be found if searched for, it makes waterboarding look like childs play. If our special forces go through it to train I think a terrorist can go through it. So you want to have moral high ground at the cost of countless human lives? Which is more barbaric torturing someone to stop the evil, or doing nothing to prevent it?

Our Special Forces are trained & exposed to God Awful things so if they get caught they'll hopefully be able to handle it. They're NOT exposed to it for fun.
See what John McCain said about it. OR suddenly McCain, the REPUB that so many GOP listened to on Military matters lost all his credibility for speaking the TRUTH?
And most of all its ILLEGAL.

So we torture people for fun? No we do it because it is effective at getting information about enemy logistics. The information gathered will save lives!
John McCain is like most republican's hecrossed over theline alot and calling him a liberal rebublicanwould be the most accurate. Just because they have an R infront of their name doesn't make them conservative.
