Pros: If you like the anime then you will love the game  Sweet over the top specials Who doesnt like gore? Fan of dynasty/samurai warriors or basara you will love this Unlockables Cool boss battles 2 player co op

Cons: Combat is a little stiff If your not a fan of the anime you may not like it so much Can get repetative like all hack and slash games

@Lozard2324 Its definetely for the fans only. I think they could have done SO much more - use of the animes music and atmosphere, mixed with a BIT of the modern style.. I don't really like the shiney ultra modern look - the PS2/arcade games look was MUCH better, likewise the incidental details.. The game is lacking in character somewhat - there could have been more blood, like the "Blaarrgh" effect or muscles and veins exploding etc. Variety in the Villagers - more story. Godfist did it better.

I finally beat Shin, but after numerous attempts. Is there an easier way to defeat him? There appear to be three "meter" rounds. The first two are fairly easy, but the third one it's nearly impossible to counter his yellow aura attacks

@tubernery Use your rolls & flying kicks alot for the first meter, save your 100 crack fists, only use them in the second part of the energy bar. Keep moving all the time, top up with spirit crates/health when you run out. In the last bar use your spirit power; dodge, use combos & then use the repentence fist(?) when the spirit is about to run out (this spirit boost gives your attacks more power). When you knock him down, its good to stand over him & charge a hard hit. Use the iron girder too..

@andy7666 Thanks for the tip. I'm really enjoying this game, after building my character's strength and skill levels. It does help to revisit earlier stages to enhance these strengths, although time consuming. Need to face against Amiba next, his third meter is extremely difficult to beat, but with enough replays, will save the 100 crack fists, energy crates, and power ups till those last few moments.

@santuel Having read the full review of SBSH, I suppose it reflects my concerns as well. I know SB is a good looking game, but it's just chock-full of canon-fodder. No real risk, like what Koei does with their games, and no interesting variety.

I really wanted to buy that game, expecting to like it. But I think even a game like this for 40$ is not saying much. I may as well get a used copy.

reviews are a waste of time in my opinion. people should just paly demos and watch videos of the game and make up their own mind. revewers have reasons for saying what they do. look at x play.... if you go on their site. the gave this 3 /5 for the 360 and 4/ 5 for ps3 despite the fact that the games are identical in graphics game play and game modes. but sony and comcast are partners. comcast own's g4. am glad direct tv kicked them off the air.

I usually find Koei's games to be decent and somehow addictive, but this game is just much more better than what they usually put out and this really makes me wish for Koei to set their sights on making another anime game like this based on something like Yu Yu Hakusho. It's quite sad and INTENSELY infuriating how a game this good is overshadowed by shitty games such as Madden.

@santuel How can you compare a sports franchise with Dynasty Warriors. Madden is a FOOTBALL game, so naturally every year the main focus is FOOTBALL.....there is only so much you can change in a sports game when the core game itself, the SPORT, does not differ from year to year. Dynasty Warriors does not follow that formula. Dynasty Warriors is flogged franchise that masks it's new versions as a new experience when it fact it is the same glitchy, uninspired piece of shit its predecessor was.
