Why would you want to have more than one modulation effect at once? I can understand wanting to have a mod effect along with a reverb, delay or overdrive/distortion going at the same time or mixed up. But those are different effects altogether and not considered modulated. I’ve never played a flanger, chorus, phaser, wah, tremolo all at the same time or any combination of more than one. I’m sure there are examples of combos where it works. But for the most part, it would sound like mush.
@AzaelVI Well that's great you have no need for 2 fx or 3-5 on at the same time. I call it restricting. You've never played chorus and reverb at the same time, or phaser with chorus, a tremolo with reverb etc....... :-s That's just unusual.
@MuffinPowerz I think you misunderstood. Modulation effects are typically considered chorus, phaser, tremolo, wah, and flanger. These are the effects this pedal focuses on. It does not have Time and Decay based effects like delay (like the Time Factor) or reverb (hopefully in a Verb Factor someday). Lots of multi effects processors have all of these effects built in, but check out some of the presets and see how many MOD effects it uses at once in addition to time/decay/dist/OD effects.
@MuffinPowerz It's a question of quality verses quantity. ModFactor is running the same complex modulation algorithms found in Eventide's H-series rack units. These sounds have a richness and depth which you can only achieve with a large amount of processing. Many units split the processing between multiple effects, but to do this the algorithms tend to be smaller and simpler.
I got a question about this....Would it be possible to plug in this effects processor into a Line 6 Spider III? it would be nice to combine some of these effects with the tone quality I like so much :-)
Has anybody ever encountered the tremolopan mode not working? I just received mine today and everything works great until I get to tremolopan mode I hear nothing. I believe when I move the depth knob I hear it like for barely half a second. I've messed with all the knobs and I still cant hear it.
My brother owns this pedal, and from what I understand, you can only have one effect going at once, but all of the effects are (according to him) high quality, and most can be tap tempo'd. For the number of high quality effects, the price is actually very competitive.
Why was #8 Vibrato (I'm assuming Uni-Vibe model)rushed through? Looks like you went o through Patch 1 & 2 of every bank except that one. Is the Uni-Vibe model unconvincing?

So disappointed that you can only have 1 effect enabled at a time. It boggles the mind that this hasn't been slammed and talked about in reviews.

The "thicker" chorus almost sounds like a very transparent flanger :o

Digital modulation pedals use algorithms and they can only ever have one effect going at time. If you want more you need to buy antoher Modfactor.

Can you have to different effects on at the same time with this thing or ?
it seems nice

cool but is it really worth that much??

i know what you mean, for 1K you can buy a used g-system, the mod plus time factor would cost you $800.
doodle202 3 years ago
can you get a foot pedal with the g-system?

The Uni-Vibe preset is #12:2 (not in this video.) It is very convincing!
