It would have been cool to show the progression of the singer's life too, from birth to old age.

Like the song, could have been longer and towards the end included old people, people with disabilities, battered women, gays, and babies. This way, it would have taken the viewer into deeper insights. It would have dealt with the philosophical idea of existence, which is what the words of the song seem to be trying to accomplish. Yea, so a longer song that pulls the listener/viewer along to someplace. (just an opinion)
