Beware of the baggage handlers of Lisbon! The airport claims it's "getting better" but I can assure that if you saw my bag last Sunday when it arrived at Heathrow, you'd have though otherwise. The whole side ripped off with such ferocity that a bit of metal frame was sticking out. Staff at Heathrow had put a belt around my suitcase to keep it in one piece. Star Alliance, who TAP are part of, gave me a new suitcase for free. My treatment by Lisbon airport and TAP was shabby and Third World.
