Would it mess up your locs if you dip them in boiling water like you would do braids to wave them tightly and instantly?

When can you shampoo the hair after the lock extention. My son said the lady that did his said to shampoo them in hot water and vinager. or sea salt.

if that what your beautician tell you well maybe that is what she perfer for you to do however sea salt and vinager is a acid condition rinse not to be use as a shampoo it is use to get out buildup from the scalp then you have to use a conditon balance shampoo following by using a mild leave-in

I never had loc extensions. I started it with my real hair(braid it in small plaits), how long should my hair be to retwist it? The reason why I am asking because in a few place my dread locks has been thinning out. It started happening when I didn't retwist my hair in a month and a half, but my grandma she retwist when she has like 3 inches of new growth and every thing is good with her hair. I use hair gel because the wax is to think and wouldn't hold. Do you have tips?

I was wondering if its okay if i put a texturizer in my hair whiles its growing.

I love my locks! I'm approaching month one and I just washed my hair last night. My hair is still intact and looks perfect. Everyone (and i mean everyone) thinks my hair grew over night! I recommend this procedure to anyone who doesnt have the time or patience to wait for hair to loc!
